This is "extra" money as no consideration was given to those mothers that are lucky enough to also receive child support. I know someone that got over $600 cash in addition to $300 a week in child support PLUS $400 a month Food Stamps, Section 8 housing allotment of $350, AND $150 for her utilities!!!!!She lives better than I do and I've worked all my life.

Remember Obama at the next election!!!!!! No help for the taxpaper but plenty of money for the
lazy and corrupt CEOs. How much more evident can Obama be on who he intends on "helping"?

I raised up FOUR children WITHOUT Welfare, Food Stamps, or Medicaid. I worked for every nickle that came into my household.

When school clothes were bought - I had to budget my money very carefully to buy ALL of them the absolute necessities they needed (not wanted).

They all grew up and never complained, and also learned how to budget their money.

Government teaches people how to be lazy because there is always some government program available for those too lazy to work for their money!

You know, it is all about the individual. I've been there/done that, when I was down and out with no place to go. But I knew PA was not for me. With the mentality of some of these young girls with babies, they'd never make it without PA. But, they need to be made to get training/GED and a job.

all you people complain but fall to realize that you can only get PA for a total of 5yrs your entire life. so if you seriously need it for 6 months then the next time you use it you only have 4.6yrs left of pa to use.. this has been in affect since the late 90's.. i get food stamps but i'm not on welfare i work everyday & attend school while raising my 12 yr old son.

What a slap in the face to every working person. Hey Governor your giving my money away.It really isn't worth working anymore, except I have pride in myself. These people need a kick in the pant's , not another handout.

The blind leading the blind.

Why not give this money to the schools to spend on supplies which the jungle bunnies keep stealing. The little apes will steal anything that isn't bolted down. I doubt this two hundred dollar stimulus will go very far. By the end of September the grasshoppers will be coming to school without books, backpacks, pens or pencils. I think any kid that comes to school unprepared like that should be shown the door and asked to leave. School is not free daycare, although many parents think it is.

so a child who's parent lacks the common sense to send the child to school prepared he should be punished and asked to leave??? its not the child's fault they are unprepared. it is the parents responsiblity. refusing a child an education isn't right

Yes, this way when junior shows up just as the party is getting started at home, they can yell at him and say, "Boy, what you doin' here? Why ain't you at dee skoo?" And junior can say, "They'b kicked me out mama cuz I ain't hab no carryall wid muh books n supplies in it." And big mama will say, "Boy, what you do wid dat nice carryall I bought you at the Wal-Marts? Don't be tellin' me you traded it for marbles agin."

After taking a whooping from his big mama and facing the wrath of her judgement, junior will make sure to never show up at school without his backpack ever again.

mom and baby daddy should have been smart and thought if they cant' afford a kid then don't have a damn kid. it is not your right to have kids it's a responsibilty to have kids. i have a kid of my own that i buy everything for. why the hell should i pay for your kid and all these other kids. not my problem. some of these animals in utica have more kids so they get more $. when i see a 50" sony lcd tv in these scumbags houses it makes you think, why do they have one when they dont pay the god damn bills.$200 of my money could have bought my kid clothes, toys or whatever.

Just read all 16 posts. I respect those trying to do it 'on their own'. But for everyone doing it right there are 50 milking the system. As far as the kids go? We can't take care of them all. Use to be the parents that did that. We all pay high taxes and it just gets thrown away. Previous post adding up how much help $$ they got, it was about 40 grand a year.. Another post said in runs out in 5 years. Can I get $200,000 up front?

Philantropist , billionaire, George Soros put up something like 38 million for this fund and the feds matched his offer .The money is suppose to be part of the stimulus monies from the feds. I don't believe the state is matching anything as i was listening to Mr. Soros talk about this, this afternoon on NPR'S talk of the nation radio show .Also if I was listening correctly this is for NYC under privileged kids.

I don't know about the NYC part. I just came from a job site where workers clearly collect PA and get paid under the table. I heard one guy telling his wife to check into cuz he already got his and I know these were people from the city.

Was this on a federal level or a state level?

Soros makes his money from us. The goverment matching funds are from us. NYC or up here .. your point is? We're still paying for everything? Right? That's what is plssing everybody off. Think taxes will ever go so high that when you get your paycheck you might owe them?
