So 2 respected ND board members have resigned. Really makes you wonder whats going on up there. Kids are leaving and board members are resigning. Wake up people. There are real problems there

It continues to get better. I heard last night that the Marian Club, a 30 year old organization formed for the benefit of ND is shutting down. Anyone hear this officially? If true, a very sad day for ND. The club raises and donates significant sums of money to the school every year for scholarships and other needs. The founding members and board members have apparently had enough of the nonsense and have all stepped down? I was also told the school thinks they can step in and take over, but if true the support and heart of the organization is gone.

Thank you Sister Anna Mae. You and your counterparts have brought shame and ridicule upon ND. Your actions have caused great harm and resulted in personal and angry attacks on you, the school, the administration, the teachers, and most importantly your students. Everyone deserved better. You got bad advice from people with personal agendas. Sadly you caved in and now this is the result. Under your leadership, the fallout will continue.

Whoa, any other verification if its true that the Marion Club is shutting down? That would be a HUGE blow to ND.
Marion Club raises a lot of money for the school and is made up of ND alum and prominent Catholics around the area. They mainly raise $$ for "tuition assistance" for students at ND, that's why Coach Durr is a member so he can funnel $$ to basketball kids.
If they are disbanding, they have obviously thrown in the towel on ND because that is basically why they exist, to assist ND.

Yes its true..the marion club is over. The marion club president Jon Grace has turned in his resignation. Why are these life long ND supporters turning away from the school? The place is crumbling down in front of our eyes

The goods news foundation money is a matching grant. They dont have the money and won't get it for several years providing they raise 4 million on their own. Can you say not gonna happen . And do you really think they would be ok with not having the Marion Club money.

Really I think you 3 clowns and you know who you are need to get your head out of your own ass. You guys have been talking to yourself back and fourth for 2 months now.. Isn't it getting old yet? Over 400 hits and 380 are from the clowns. Grow up and get a life! None of you have children or friends for that matter at ND so take a walk let the door hit ya in the ass on the way out.. ND will be there either way. There is no movement here other than ND getting rid of the trash.

Are you really so blind that you canít see that there are serious problems at Notre Dame. Ignoring the mounting problems wonít make them go away. Do I think that this is the end for N.D., probably not. Do I think that this will affect them in the coming years, both athletically and financially, definitely. I think many Utica parents will weigh the perceived benefits of N.D over Proctor and decide to send their kids to N.D. However, there are some for whom the problems in the athletic department will swing the pendulum in the other direction. For parents in suburban district who viewed N.D. as a place to send their kids for the quality of the sports teams this will be a big deterrent. It is the Mike Gallineseís in the area that N.D. will be losing. Mike was a great student and was getting a quality education in Oriskany. Sports was the only reason he went to N.D. He was looking for better exposure and better access to college scouts and recruiters. He would not have gotten this from Oriskany. He did get it at Notre Dame. Can the school assure incoming student that these advantages will still available to future athletes? I think that is a question many parents are asking themselves.
