Omfg can we end this thread. Of course some kids are gonna leave and some kids are going to stay. Who really cares ? Lets end this thread and resume in August when its clear and evident who stayed and who left. Of course you people who say none are leaving are wrong and you people who say the team will fold are wrong. Obviously the team will be different than it was last year. Whomever takes over this mess created by the administration will have a couple of tough years in store until they can build their own program. But enough already...lets agree to resume this in August

I care about what is happening right now at ND. We have a 9th grade child there and we get zero information from the administration. The last thing we heard about the new football coach was that the school board was taking over the search from Anna Mae and a coach would be hired the week of January 12th. Well no announcement yet, and believe me a lot of families care about who they hire. We liked the sports program the way it was and my son's friends are starting to leave and we are concerned about where it will end. We want to stay at ND even with all the crap going on, but sports are part of what is important to us and we don't want to have to suffer through losing seasons so that JP can start in 3 sports. Brents gone, Nicks leaving, we have heard about a bunch of others too, and looks like Logan is leaving. If all true, we will have to go too and just want to know so we can make our plans.

Start making plans cause the sports ship is listing to the left badly. Won't be long before it goes under! Warmack brabham and Sullivan will be gone as well. Heard the griffin kid will move as well.

I heard the same thing about Griffin. The entire thing is a trickle down mess. Even anna mae with the free tuition is losing kids. I'd be pissed if I were a regular student at ND and had to pay tuition and anna mae is giving out money for sports kids to stay

It is pretty interesting Anna Mae has been turned down by 3 of 4 families for her "no pay to play at ND" program. You know you have a problem when existing students decline free attendance at ND and chose to get elsewhere instead. They must really want to leave. That won't help with warmack and brabham, they are already in the "no pay to play at ND" program.

the Griffin kid you mentioned, is that the little basketball player on modified?
lol really

The Griffin kid is going no were people. His mom and dad love ND. Further more his group of kids are a special group. Jalen Warmack is going to ND as we'll. The other 3 you mentioned are also never leaving ND. Were do you get your facts from kids? Just ask there parents all the names above will tell you there kids are not leaving.

Of course the parents aren't saying they are leaving. They will take the money now then not return in the fall. As for a special group...lets face it ND has warmack brabham and sullivan...the best team they have had in years...still lost to a less than avg Proctor team and killed by w'boro. Lets face it people...you can say special group all you want .. you are all delusional. Stay at Proctor if you want competition. Stay at wboro .. all these schools continue to beat your so called special group. And all this nonsense about football...proctor wasnt very good last year and would have killed ND and w'boro would beat the crap out of your small weak line

Richard I can't argue with anything you wrote. A really good football player would WANT to play against good competition, and this years team just skated by in Class C. Way too much is being said about how good the three you mentioned are, except Sullivan who does have the body to play in college. I don't know about the other two.
But if you knew the younger athletes that Coach B put together for the future years, you may feel differently about them. Really talented group, who now have started leaving ND. Terrific backs, great lineman prospects. Its too bad

You are the delusional one. "Proctor less than average?" They just beat Henninger. Who does Wboro have? Look at who they play! They beat a weak ND team, big deal. You crown that team at ND "the best in years?" WOW. Basketball at Whitesboro is a joke also, maybe just ahead of ND and the other also rans. Unfortuneately, Proctor has to stay in the very weak TVL and win the next 100 league games we play. Proctor CRUSHES ND and Wbro at home. Can't wait.

Yah exactly they are all leaving. Before there was something drawing kids to und... Now there is nothing. They will be bottom of the barrel in every sport this upcoming yr if the older kids leave(which looks likely) and the same in the lower levels if the trend stays the same w the younger group.
Why would you send a kid to notre dame in this day and age unless he can't play at his home school?? No reason.

If someone leaves ND just because Byron Abraham isn't the football coach is any more and they haven't hired a new one yet, that is just sad beyond words. All I can say is good luck.

Just a couple words on this topic; Abraham is NOT going to Proctor. Proctor’s football coach and assistants were voted on Tuesday. Abraham was not on the list.

Notre Dame’s football program will suffer even if all of their players return. The loss of a coach like Abraham is going to have a big impact on the team. Byron was extremely close to his players. They played well because they respected him. That respect isn’t passed on to a new coach; it needs to be earned over time. The players will also lose Abraham’s college connections. Good, respected coaches can get players face-time with recruiters that they otherwise would never get. Great players don’t need this, good players do.

The loss of only one or two players can have a devastating effect on a small school team. It hurts morale and that hurts performance. It affects a team like a cancer; If not treated it will destroy a team. It would take a very special coach to prevent this. There are not a lot of those coaches around this area.

Actually you are half right, they did appoint assistants but one is declining and they are offering, the OC position to Abraham. He has to choose between Proctor and NH.

That's an easy choice... Go coach the kids you were recruiting in the 1st place or go to NH. NH is in shambles right now w their AD and coaching situation!
Byron Abraham at Proctor will be a very good thing!

Notre Dame will turn into a baseball school. Kevin Green will make the school a baseball school without Byron there. The baseball program has unbelievable talent with the Roccis, Lubey, the Fitzgerald catcher, Joe Flynt, and they have great talent upcoming with Murdoch, Flynt's brother, Cross, the other Fitzgerald, all freshmen and Wojnas as a sophomore should be fun to watch them in the future.
