Warmack could def play at proctor and be a star...no doubt. He is the kind of athlete that could compete and dominate at the AA level. If u don't see that by watching him you don't know what ur looking at. If I'm him I need that comp and I would transfer there and play my senior yr there just to prove my point...I belong. ND offers him nothing anymore. D-1 schools want to see him compete against AA competition not little falls and Frankfort. He is hurting himself staying there at this point.

Warmack is not hurting his chances at nd for basketball. In fact, going to proctor would hurt his chances. The reason is due to the coaching. Durr will get the most out of him. His dad realizes this and he will not leave nd. It is what is.

Warmack is a D3 football player. If he can even get in a college with his grades. He is small- looks about 5' 6" 150lbs. He is not a college basketball player

No way he would go back to AA. Parents take their kids to ND because they can't compete and play at Proctor. At ND they play down in class C football, and in basketball there are so few kids an ok player can play alot.

No college coach gives 2 flying f&&ks who a kids hs coach is in any sport. You people are morons. College coaches want to know 3 things: can u play at their college level, grades and sat scores and what kind of character does the kid have! No particular order.
You notre dame people keep drinking the D-1 promised kool aid! Lol
Notre Dame coaches care about 1 thing and that's winning. They will beg borrow and lie to kids to get kids to come and play on their teams.
Every College athlete that ever came out of Utica Notre Dame would have went to college for sports if they had stayed at their home school to begin with! Name 1 kid that any coach at notre dame ever got into a college just because they were the coach???
Same holds true for any high school.
Byron played d-1 football w probably 30 guys that are now D1 coaches and not 1 nd kid has ever gotten a d1 football scholarship!!! Your logic makes no sense!

Warmack could play basketball at proctor. No doubt about it. His father, who played at ufa was about the same as his son. He went on and played division 1 baskerball. Like I said above, the father is smart to keep at nd... as for the rest of the team besides sullivan, they probably could not play at proctor.

Your fairly correct on your statement. But Byron has a ton of connections in college football. ND has not had any D1 players but many players have gone on and played in college with his help. My son played at RPI and quite frankly would have never played if not for him. He spent a lot of time and effort in helping my son train and give him the confidence that he could succeed. I also know it didnt matter if he played football or not. He helped Zane smith get a baseball scholarship due to his connections. He was an asset for ND. Im sure he will make his next school very happy

you would keep him at ND if he wants to be a basketball player in college. If he wants to be a college football player he should go to Proctor. There will always be that stigma that he isn't playing against good players. If he stays at ND he plays at utica college. Go to Proctor and play the best kids between here and syracuse amd hes got a chance for scholarship. He's very athletic.

Proctor is at the very bottom! If you kids want to go to college you have a better shot in any school in upstate NY but 3 and Proctor. And you want them to leave ND?

What does that have to do w an individual kid like Kevin that is smart and has 2 good parents at home?? Nothing. The kid would do well in school no matter where he went cause he was raised right and he's a smart kid.
Those stats are so deceiving for a bunch of reasons. Look at how many of the kids that don't make it and their home situation. One parent home, 9 brother and sisters, some homeless, bunch of refugees, language barrier, 4th generation welfare etc.... None of these apply to Kev Warmack so he would be fine.
It's easy to be at the top of the heap when u accept zero refugees, no handicap, require tuition and just kick any kid out of school that doesn't make the grades! Must be nice!

You are quite wrong.
Notre Dame has a strong immigrant and first generation American presence with many of them receiving financial aid in order to attend. The scholarships don't just go to ball players. The student body can hardly be described as pasty white children of privilege. There is diversity regardless what your preconceived stereotype is.
The reason ND isn't able to accept many children with disabilities has everything to do with regulations and the money required to comply with those regulations. In order to accept handicapped they would have to completely comply with the ever changing Americans with Disabilities Act. Being a private school they don't have the luxury of being able to raise taxes to pay for compliance and that compliance is very costly. I'm sure that if ND was financially able to accommodate every handicapped child in the region they most certainly would.
I don't think I've ever heard of a student being expelled from ND for bad grades. Can you provide some specifics?

The kids who come from the Utica High School have a really hard time adjusting to the overbearing education techniques of the ND teachers. If they can't adjust they are failed and are kicked out of the school, not for behavior issues, because they need extra help and ND isn't interested in that.
If you haven't heard of a kid being kicked out of ND for poor grades, then you have your head in the sand or are not really involved in ND.
And no, we won't list the names of the victims Anna Mae expelled from the school in shame and embarrassment. Some were really good kids

She isn't a very nice person. The principal that is . I know she has kicked out several students over grades. Especially poor utica kids. They come from utica schools and have a hard time adjusting then sister kicks them out. Im sure she doesn't refund their money for the poor job they did

"overbearing education techniques of the ND teachers"?
All schools are required to teach from the same script. The same material being taught at ND is the same material taught in public schools. I have no idea what "overbearing education techniques" means unless it means that ND teachers expect students to pay attention in class and complete homework assignments. As far as extra help is concerned each teacher provides extra help when it is requested and most of them being available after school every day for "10th period". Extra help is most certainly available.

I've never heard of any student expelled from school " in shame and embarrassment". Not giving any examples doesn't do anything to spur confidence in your argument. Are you sure you are a former ND parent and are we talking about the same ND?

"And no, we won't list the names" We? are you more than one?

What is it they have a hard time adjusting to?
What's different in the Utica schools that makes adjusting to ND difficult?
If they are "poor kids" where do they get the money for the tuition that you think should be refunded?
What "poor kids" were kicked out?

Will Hawkins and Ryan Cubbage were both tossed out on their asses because of bad grades. Why try and help them... Let's toss them out the good ole catholic way!
The real problem was that they both weren't paying and there was no way und was going to waste an athlete sponsor and their money on kids that couldn't play sports!
