Meeting to discuss sex offenders staying at motels in residential area

A community discussion will get underway Monday night regarding whether or not homeless sex offenders should be allowed to stay temporarily at the former Davis Motel in north Utica.
The Davis motel was the sight of that brutal murder of then motel owner, 68-year-old Linda Turner, back in November 2011. There is now a new owner who wants to re-open it, but he must first get a zoning variance from the city of Utica.
