The bleeding of this city will never stop. All of our politicians only worry about themselves. Things will never change. If the city of Utica was a private business it would have shut done 10 years ago.

CB Richard Ellis sells 706,274 s/f Riverside Center for $41.25 million

Utica, NY Jeffrey Dunne, Steven Bardsley and David Gavin of CB Richard Ellis' New York Institutional Group represented the Senpike Mall Company and RCU Mall LLC, entities affiliated with the Pyramid Companies, in the sale of Riverside Center for $41.25 million. The team was also responsible for procuring the buyer, Nightingale Properties, LLC.

Riverside Center (706,274 s/f) is the second largest power center in the Utica region, located at the four-way interchange of Rtes. 5, 8/12 and 49 off the New York State Thruway (I-90). Riverside Center enjoys a stable income with nearly 90% of its total revenue coming from strong credit anchors and national name brand tenants including Walmart, Lowe's, BJ's Wholesale Club and Burlington Coat Factory. Ownership recently executed several new leases, including Burlington Coat Factory, Adirondack Furniture and Famous Labels, demonstrating strong tenant demand for the Center.

Dunne had the following comments on the sale, "The existing significant in-place income from national credit retailers, coupled with the lease up of the 74,400 s/f of vacant space along with the development of additional pad sites will provide Nightingale with stability and upside."

Utica is certainly an economic cesspool and you can blame 95% of that on the political leaders and mindless self-serving beurocrats. People just need to stop putting up with their shit and throw them out (95% of them, both parties).
But don't over sell Dixie my friend. I'm originally from Upstate, still have family there.
I moved south many years ago and have seen the economic declines even here. Although not as profound as Upstate.
This whole country is in serious trouble. If we continue on our current economic trends with the national debt, inflation, unprecedented
governnment growth and spending, we will very soon witnees a cataclysmic enconomic catastrophe that will make the Great Depression look like Christmas Day.
You can laugh at, ridicule or shoot the messenger if you don't like the message but that doesn't change the facts.

Funny how everyone is worried about how much our government is spending now. Not a word for eight years when bush was creating wars of choice and giving tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans. Doubled our national deficit and left us in the worst economic condition since the great depression. Oh and left with a net loss in jobs. Keep voting for corporate yes men who do the bidding of the wealthiest 1% and see were our economy goes.

Actually, when Riverside was still a mall, I preferred it to Sangertown..and I know others who felt the same way. Too bad about AC Moore. I really try to avoid Consumer Square--that whole area--can't stand the traffic.
