Never said they could do what they want...but they also aren't going to debate every single decision they make or will make either.

You really need to understand that you cannot choose your own representative. Griffo and Brindisi are chosen by county respective parties in Jan of election year. They also choose the doormats that run against them.

Show proof.
Send us to that line item in the budget and let us know who proposed such a thing while at the same time voting to cut aid to developmentally disabled.
The Aud is surviving in its' current configuration. The building does need and is getting needed updates and renovation. They don't need a video scoreboard or luxury boxes which are from what we read prerequisites for an AHL affiliate to come.
I just give facts brotha, I'll leave your wanted "proof" to the media guys to cover.

- peace out and GO FLAMES!!

Let's say for the sake of discussion that the $6 million post is true.

In order for $6 million to be allocated for AUD improvements at this point in time someone had to be very proactive in lobbying for this. The state is tens of billions of dollars in debt, people are being laid off and services are being cut. Do you honestly believe there was no debate about spending money this way? You are right, many things aren't debated and passed with a wink and a nod. This though is different because of magnatude and of how this would reflect politically on any representative who would propose it. I'll say this again. I think that if this is true then it will be Brindisi behind it because he is the only one tone deaf and clueless enough to think he was doing a good thing.

You are really lacking in understanding as to how impossible it is to remove a state representative from this area.

So if/when we get an AHL franchise, here's my forecast:
1. If it's a Calgary farm team, I don't see a lot of fan interest.(Not a lot of Alberta immigrants here)
2.They will disrupt both the men's and women's UC programs, and not give a rat's ass about doing so.
3.Their ticket prices will be out of reach for the average family night out, and
4.They will leave for greener pastures at the first opportunity and leave the city with lots of useless collectibles-keychains, banners, jerseys, etc (see Utica Devils, see Lou Lamoriello, see Albany River Rats, see Lowell Lock Monsters, etc.)
You want good hockey with reasonable ticket prices, players you recognize, and a program with a strong, long time commitment to Utica??? Go Pioneers! May they continue to draw 3000 fans a game and to hell with the AHL short term love affairs.

The Syracuse affiliate is Tampa bay. Adirondack is Philadelphia. Binghampton is Ottawa.

Enjoy the games.

What we know- nobody worth knowing or caring a pea of toepunk about never made anything of themselves on a school team sports team, to the contrary, statistically they go straight to prison.... jobs and loading dock like usual.
What we know- Your population is wholly ignorant and failure is epidemic, yet you still think some hocky glory story will save you. Let them play hocky on their own time not prance around while "Coors Light Dad" and Whiteswhoro sanctidaddy typies relive their sad pathetic pre-correction officer days while their futur e and studies sake. You programmed a generation of immature dramafiend retard thrillseekers who think a job will pay them 11 "XBOX Games" a week LOL! I have never SEEN such a stupid region of people with their heads so far up their asses yet this is the type of thing you think will prepare your fat little ootican failure children for a "life"?
Bang up job so far coach! How many boys took it in the mouth this week after all the coach rants and scandals from a mindset that proves with every scandalous sex perv and emotionally immature sports headline that the people who gravitate toward this crap end up like fat ol' dad. Stupid, poor and yelling at their kid from a tin bench over ridiculous "team glory" and how "great" they are.
Call me when your kid can pull a DIY drone from the box and use it to torture and spy on the stupid fat combative emotional runts in the neighborhood lol. Call me when your kid knows how to do something a little more ambitions than skate around with a stick and show dear ol dad he can throw fits and act 3 just like daddy!
And you wonder why your whole youth is hoarde of idiots whose only lifelong aspiration is "Friday Night Glory" soon forgotten.
You really all deserve this. Your results speak volumes, as usual. Wow people's priorities there are fkced up 9 ways till sundown and no matter how bad it gets and obvious it is they're a chickenfarm they just don't get it.
Swing stick monkey!! Swing monkey!! Swing stick monkey!! YAAAAY! MONKEY get big job on road crew now!! Yaaay!
that your kid is to fat and clumbsy to play sports. Also, learn to be grammatically correct before you get on you topix soap box.

Given this reality is there anyone with half a scintilla of brain matter who thinks that it would be a good idea to fund an AHL team at the AUD with taxpayer money?

I sure hope so, but if this is a done deal, what are they waiting for now? The Heat's season is over...

Correct. But I can just say the Chicago wolves have not announced a new parent club and vancouver has not announced where their ahl team will play. The owner wants to own the rink in abbotsford. Don't worry.
