Anyone who says the OG has crappy food doesn't know what their talking about. Everytime we travel we look for an OG. The food is always consistant, good and reasonalby priced. Even been to the one in Times Square. It had 4 floors and was packed.
The negative posters probably got their own agenda, but it really doesn't matter. Once here it will become the busiest place around. Sure you will get the loyalist who will continue to support their favorite place but in the big picture the OG will dominate this area.

People dont know: Yup, you're Olive Garden material.
You can't spell (don't/consistent), you don't know the difference between they're and they're, and you clearly cannot tell authentic Italian food from flash frozen generic entrees. You say consistant (sic), I say boring. OG is the modern day HoJo's. Popular? Probably. That doesn't make it good; it just becomes a great choice for ignorant people like you who don't know any better.

The bid has already been given out to build. The design has already been approved. Will be starting in the spring. People in this area are a bunch of morons. The same people to complain will be the first in line. Lol losers. Utica Italian restaurants are all gone. Look how busy panera, moes, 5 guys, outback, 99, UNO , Applebee's red lobster etc. lol. Olive Garden is going to put a hurting on the locals. Btw Bella Cucina is gross. He has been trying to sell for years. He won't make it another year. Independents are a thing of the past in the utica area.
So is Cavallos. Truth be known, they are some of the posters knocking Olive Garden. They know that they're on borrowed time now. Food is not as good as it was in years past. Owner is arrogrant and doesn't know how to relate to customers. Go in anytime, no waiting line as in past and once you look at the menu you can see why. Prices are outrageous for what you get. Oh are they still charging for the soda refills? For the same price, people will pick Olive Garden. See you there!

I couldn’t agree more with this post and I’m not Italian either, but have been around. Olive Garden; come on. Do people around the country really think that is Italian food? I hope this place crashes and burns. There are more good Italian food restaurants in Utica then most of the north east. BTW Syracuse doesn’t have any that compare to ones in Utica either.
I guess you don't get out of utica much

Oh, they backed out? Good! We have enough GOOD Italian restaurants operated by locals and nobody needs their fattening breadsticks and salty salad anyway. Good riddance, faux Italian.

You live in F'fort and made that comment? Incredible! Check a nutrition site and see what they say about OG. Fat and salt. That said, the people who eat at OG don't look like the actors on TV who are smiling, slim, trim, and attractive. The real people who eat at OG are just smiling. Bon appetit!

As a native utican not in the area anymore I will say I miss ALL of the Italian restaurants there. From joes, joeys, grimaldis, Georgios, etc. they are all a little different but great. Here in Albany t.he little taste of utica I get is delmonicos and I will say that the one is utica is far superior to the one here. Olive Garden may do well just because its a chain but in no way compares to authentic utica Italian restaurants.

No, they stink, not like they used to be! They're living on a past reputation that has been lost thru the years. Sysco meatballs and sause isn't the way to go. They should be the last to knock the competition.

I'm in utica at least twice monthly. I see nothing wrong with the restaurants in my opinion.

Actually, you're pretty stupid. The poster said "settlement" not "verdict."
I do believe you work for a lawyer. Lawyers hire stupid people with no experience so they can pay $8.00 an hour with no benefits.
You are so smart, yes , I'm sure they settled for that kind of money. LOL LOL LOL LOL (by the way, you don't make that much picking up other peoples trash) Have a nice day. See you at the OG

No loss at all..Olive Garden isn't all that great as far as I'm concerned. Been there a few times.. Nothing to get hyped up about and doesn't compare to alot of real Italian restaurants in this area.
