it sounds like their backing out of the deal. The road is too congested and too many accidents. They are now negotiating with Schenectady instead. Looks like were stuck with Utica Italian Restaurants.

What a bummer. I think that they would have done well here. I agree about the overly congested mess of a road, at the Commercial Drive site, next to Moe's. They should have gone into the lower half of the Orchards, where those older, vacant business duplex buildings remain. Outback is there and has done great!

Slokum Dicksome is a perfect place for new olive pit. Lots of people going in and out, and working there with money to spend.
I resent the biggest moron post.

Yeah, you would never want to put a business where there is a lot of traffic. You people are idiots, the best place for a business is where there is a lot of traffic and that is why they selected that location in the first place.

Guido restaurant owners

Listen you guido restaurant owners and family members, you need to shut up, clean up your dumps and start serving better meals than the crap that you're serving now. Look at your restaurants, empty already!! Give people a reason to want to spend their money with you. Be creative. Try a real daily special at a lower price than the menu item (not daily specials that have hung around for days). Quit manipulating what people will spend the minute they walk thru the door. Offer food that isn't all $8.00 no matter what it is. Salads and sandwiches shouldn't all be $8.00!! Give people choices that fall within different price ranges.

Knocking a restaurant that is far more sucessful than you'll ever be, does not make the people want to come back to you. Olive Garden will be sucessful here and your customers will go there too. You need to compete for our business! Give us a reason to have dinner with you!! Stop taking our business for granted!!

"Guido Restaurant Owners"...What an educated professional you must be. You're entitled to both your opinions and complaints, but to characterize local owners as "guidos" is over the line bias. You definitely will be happier at Olive Garden. You can feed your face on the breadsticks, and wolf down the pathetic excuse for a salad. Why not have a side dish of ignorance, and then order stupidity for dessert? I'm glad you're committed to the chain franchises; that way I'll never need to hear your moronic rants in person. Local restuarants do not need "a reason to have dinner with you." You, however, have given them every reason not to. Stick to wine in the box, and sauce from a jar, Skippy. Stay in your myopic, narrow minded culinary world and we'll all be happier.

Olive Garden = pricey salty processed shit, the soups are the worst, avoid them; 1000+ mg of sodium. One nice thing is the wine samples, they have quite the selection.
