Really? The waitress said have some "wonderful water"? Lol oh yes, waitresses talk like that all the time!
It's quite obvious you are the same person writing all the negative posts....changing your name, all from Utica, NY, and all misspelling the same exact words. GET OVER IT! You went there, you spent way more than you could afford and you were unhappy with the meal and drinks. So don't go back! Move on! No insults here, but give it up. Quit changing names and posting about it! There (notice the spelling...NOT "their") are plenty of other places to go. No need to bash a business just trying to make a buck, which is hard enough, in this day and age.

The "business" will be discriminated against by all veterans and decent people.

Also, I TOTALLY BELIEVE they call it "wonderful water" why not? Utica people can't open their feedholes without lying and trying to make narcissistic claims to "fame", despite the fact that normal people who know what it is will tell you fame is useless and a headache.

PS Don't count on Price Chopper carrying the "brand" much longer. That's a side project of ours, and another nail in uterus' coffin!

I'm sure your "parents" are so proud of their sexually frustrated "son" whose creative limits begin and end with sex pervert comments and crude infantile humor.

This is why you uticans simply deserve to be ridiculed and kept down.

Time to wake up and put a few more nails in the coffin of the mohawk valley while enriching ours.

All of their food is sourced within 50 miles of the restaurant. Because of this, Tailor and Cook is one of the most respected and followed restaurants in all of upstate New York. TRUE

The dinner plate tells the story of our local food and what is grown and raised here. Where else in upstate New York will you find this level of commitment to local farmers and food producers?

Knock the restaurant and you knock all of the farmers and food producers who worked so hard to put the food on your plate!

Name me one other restaurant in all of upstate New York that provides such quality and shows such commitment to the locavore movement and I will travel to it!

And I'm damn glad there isn't a food bank next door!
All their food is sourced locally within a 50 mile radius!!! Haha! I'd like to know where they are getting scallops, crab and oysters from?? Oneida lake? What a joke.

I eat at the cook everyday!, I am superior to everyone else. I pretend I am in NYC and forget I am on Genesee street near peepers. I pretend to know fine dining and tell everyone I only eat organic. I like to say I don't need bread or good drinks because this week it is trendy. I love this restaurant, it makes me feel better about myself.

Does this place allow you to bring in your own bottle of wine? Allowing some of you to bring in a bottle of boons farms may make your dining experience more enjoyable.

Poor poor pathetic low self esteemed upstate uncivilized primates. This says a lot to explain why they live in "Failure-Hole" armpit of NYS sucking farts for praise.

It truly is all they know. I would really like to see them in a negotiation process.

Stooooooopid!
Listen to the upstate ny crotchmonsters trying to make a funny! This is why they say so poor and helpless I think. Everything they approach is given the same level of weak substandard "effort" even speaking in circles as they do!

Trendy, awful restaurants are not unique. I have been to many cities where I have suffered the same fate. I have learned to avoid being the first to check out a new place. These sort of places come and go all the time. They are usually run by "trust fund babies" that have nothing better to do. One of my worst experiences that I remember was a few years ago in Atlanta when I was visiting an old friend, he suggested that we go to this new place that just opened up. I was served the house salad which was nothing more than a chunk of iceberg lettuce on a plate. No dressing. No tomatoe. Not even a crouton. Just a chunk of lettuce. As for the main course, it was a pasta place, so the only choice was pasta. I am served a tiny plate of pasta. Just pasta with a little bit of grated cheese on top, no sauce or anything else. We each had a glass of wine with this dinner, something that I am certain came out of a box. When the check came, there was a look of shock on my friends face that cannot be described. It was over a hundred dollars. For a little plate of pasta and a slice of lettuce and some bad wine. Compared to this, Tailor and Cook have not yet achieved the highest level of awful possible, though I imagine that this is what they must be aspiring towards. Just be a trendy and fashionable place to see and be seen in, and the food and service don't matter. This sort of thing is nothing new. Places like this make their money off first time customers, then shut down after the trendy crowd has moved on to the next new trendy spot. The owners will then shut the place down and open up a new place somewhere else, and repeat the process.

Did anyone like his overpriced pub in my opinion? The bartender measures the drinks and fill's glasses literally into an ounce or two. Actually measures, god forbid you give a normal drink. Owners should be embarassed. Who want's an 1/8 of a drink for 7- 12 bucks??, we are not cheap and this was crazy, so humiliating for the bartender as he measures his drinks.OMG!! The wine glasses are huge and they fill them less than one quarter. We def won't ever go back, you could tell money Was the bottom line. We have so may good places that fill your glasses, OMG! Owners should be ashamed and must be cheap. THE CHEESE PLATE HYSTERICAL, a few meager pieces and 4 crackers, smudge of this and that, almost funny and for a huge price. Deserts outrageous, nine dollars, of course not enough to share. Also they gave you one piece of bread, a 1/4 of a piece of bread!! We also are not even big eater's but this was ludicrous. Was actually funny until this crazy bill came, felt very cheated. In my opinion, most would never go back. Terribly expense and drinks so small the whole place should be ashamed at prices. Just a place interested in getting as much as possible from the customer and giving little in return. Go see for yourself the drinks and less than minimal servings for a whole lot of money!Fine dining at it's worst. Really smelly inside also. Not a fan and not a returnee for sure! You will feel cheated when you get the bill.
My husband and I have been going there since the place opened and we have never had a bad experience. We have brought my parents and a few of our friends from NYC there and they absolutely love the place. I suppose most people from this area are not accustomed to the fine dining experience, just because you are not getting enormous portions does not mean the owners are all about money. If you have ever traveled outside of Utica you would know that. I am a frequent traveler and I can honestly say that the portions in the restaurants in Utica are much larger than anywhere else I have ever been in the States or Europe. Just my opinion...
