The millions saved will go right into a politicians pocket or a pork project. Your delusional if you think the 30 million saved will save anyone anything in there taxes. You're in fantasyland.

Here are the facts as per Andrew M. Cuomo - Governor
Save tax payers $30 million annually
15% drop in statewide crime
71% drop in number of drug offenders
so lets close 4 prisons.
He has closed total of 10 prisons since he was elected

Yeah Sam,
Because coumo does everything on the up and up and he would never lie to anyone to further his own objectives. Blah. You suck eggs. You're an idiot. Crime is on the rise and a blind man can see it. Every day in the paper you read about horrific crimes and most of them done by people we've released early in an effort to empty the prisons. There is no drop as they're reporting. There is simply no effort by the state to report these things truthfully. No good effort to lock people up anymore and no effort to violate previous offenders. You can cheer all you but it will come all around again. At some point the crap will hit the fan something bad will happen and we as a society will demand the politicans get tough on crime and they will all fold in lockstep. To bad some of our families will pay the price to get there. Yes celebrate your 30 million savings. You're either a convict or just an ignorant slob if you think that 30 million is going to benefit the average state tax payer in any way possible.

The reason there is less inmates in prison is because they are letting them go early. Its called a conditional release. Thats the ticket let them go early and say there are less inmates in prison. By the way conditional release is given to most non-violent crimes. Yes and a baby raper is consider a non violent crime.

Most writers on here are pathetic. They have no idea of the overall picture of things. Most are convicted felons themselves it seems or related to a felon. All come on here and talk big shit hiding behind a keyboard. Half you morons would shit your pants when you heard a gate shutting you in with 400 cons in a rec yard. Keep you ignorant rants to yourself as all you do is reaffirm your parents shouldn't have been allowed to breed.

This is another dumb statement. They brought jobs and good paying ones to an otherwise rust belt area of the state. These workers buy goods and services and pay property taxes. Your an idiot to not see the total picture. Any convicts from these places get released to their county of confinement - which in 98% of the cases is NYC.

Please try and attempt to know what you're talking about. We all feel sorry for you hockey helmet heads when you start blabbering nonsense on here. Does the drool ever short out your keyboard?

Those prisons were the alcohol and drug rehab centers so expect more DWI deaths and drug addicts. But who are we kidding anyway? They didn't "correct" anyone those prisons are just fat slob ny union porker welfare job farms anyway.
Someday new yorkers will either learn to grow balls and protect themselves or die waiting for the town county or state to save them. I think the current situation in ny is awesome because they %100 deserve to be selling their homes and boats to support the pork slob state mentality and live in the feces crack haven rust belt towns. They asked for, voted for and NEED the crime and problems in order to justify their paychecks so don't act so surprised with your awesome wonderful results. Every cop you ever meet will make the "job security" jokes so it's obvious they want that reality there. Why cry?
