The whole point being that asking a question like "who's the best" is a lot like asking "what is the best weather"?
For all I know Joe is the nicest coolest dude in that game but when you live IN the fishbowl it's depressing to see how much effort some expend on getting in when a lot of these people are trying to get out.
The grass is always greener.
The problem is people are hypersensitive to inauthentic accolades and inflation. Joe was great before he got a name for having some of the most obnoxious "support" in the world. When your dunk uncle is struggling to do the same stuff he did when he was 20 you'll see how "fun" the whole fame and fortune game is it sux. When your other uncle is doing the same and living with serious physical pain, drugs acupuncture and a chiropractor on call just to kiss the stage you see the real trade offs. You sitting there playing your guitar alone and happy with the music? YOU have it made all the rest is BS.
They have people trying to get at them all the time every way.
That life is for the birds really. Best off low key. Not "look at me".
Very well put and im proud of you for coming down to my level.

You cant really blame ppl like me who are proud of JB, and want him to do well and try to give him support, even if its lip service i dont think thats bad?

I've seen and know what this area has to offer for musical talent. I know many of the guitarists and some are my personal friends. Granted they might not be what ur friends are or have reached a level that your friends have but to me i look up to them because they did more with their lives than i was able to do with mine and i respect that.

I little peek into a oooticans mind, it doesnt always have to be bad.

10. The Utica Warning Sign
9. Riggies
8. Obscure guitar player, aka Joe Bozomassive
7. Annette Funicello (who moved away)
6. Steve Wynn (who moved away also)
5. Dick Clark (who moved away just like the rest)
4. Tomatoe Pie
3. Half Moon cookies

Hey as an funny aside, the fellow mentioned above is a really nice guy, but you notice he's halen from West Tex. Notice that anytime his FB and site go down.... bad bad fckn shyt starts jumpin off South of the Border if you catch my drift. He's one of the goodguys with no name in that sense. Get him talking out of school and you'd love him.

Look him up one day. When he gets back from NGO problem solving/making he'll be working up some vids and is very accessible for lessons and I'm not sure he charges anything. No drugs no booze he's a straight shooter.

Surprised Tony Butera hasn't made the list. Played with him back in the day. Phenom IMO. Last I heard he was losing his hearing.

Rainbow Young is the best guitarist I've seen in Utica. To top it off, he often plays for free on Genesee St and is humble as they come. His fame hasn't gone to his head.

I'm not gonna offer any insight with you bunch of argumentative ten year old rectals. Don't see anything here about Trey, Eric Thorngren, Fran Migliacchio. Too bad. Otherwise, I may have thought you actually knew what you were talking about.
