Actually, I had heard this. But how do you ever know?

I have heard the rumors too, and they may have started because in his younger days as mayor, he hung out with a lot of young people, reporters and city hall types, many of them a lot younger than he was; he sort of had an extended adolescence for many years, and was hanging out in "college crowd" bars for many years. I have met them several times at events, and I just don't buy the sham marriage theory. She has a good job, and it's not like a State Senator would be a wealthy husband. She is very attractive and nice, and could land a surgeon or lawyer closer to her age who'd really provide for her if she was just looking for security. They are truly "beauty and the geek," but for whatever reason, I think the marriage is for real. She also happens to look very young, so the age diff isn't quite as big as many people think. I've heard gay rumors through the years about Ray Meier and Tony Picente; and that Sherry Boehlert used escort services, and I think those were just spread by disgruntled ex-employees or political enemies. Politics is often vicious, and political rivals will stoop to anything to try to bring the other office holder down. The papers have reported that there is bad blood between Mayor Brown and Griffo, so there are plenty of reasons the rumors about Griffo persist.

Oh gosh he is gay. I don't know what his wife is getting out of this. She is beautiful, smart, has a great job. Sham marriage, we know what he is getting out of this but how about her? Does she think he is gonna make it to the Gov. mansion?
