I hear that Bobby's got a special chair on order. He can't take Louie's job till that chair comes in. Nice leather, swivel/rocker/heated w/vibrator & neck & back massager.

I heard something totally opposite. I heard the chair is in and the carpet that Judge Romano picked each color thread for is held up in production.

Is this the SAME Judge Romano that has this HUGE ass diamond from fiance Tom Clark? When's the wedding? And why is SHE picking out Bobby's carpet?

Gee, for a minute there I thought you were going to say-- Judge Romano that has this HUGE ass! doesn't tom clark have to finalize the divorce from his sick wife first? If Bobby goes, maybe her throne will be moved to his courtroom and she needs to be sure the color scheme doesn't make her look washed up,er, out.

Why would Julian leave the bench? I thought he already made a bizillion dollars from his own law practice. Where's all this coming from? What's the story here?

Higgins, believe me if I state it its true. He's leaving. Whats the real reason I am unsure, but I heard plenty. I know he's been talking to Mike Arcuri on a deal.

If you read the papers and listen to judges, they don't get paid enough for 3 hrs of work.

Bobby Julian talked to Ed Hanna about a deal and look what happened, if I were Arcuri I'd jump out a window before I'd trust Bob Julian. Remember he cheated on his law exams. Both Bobby and Timmy should just head down to the motel and hide under the bed.

Well, it still doesn't make sense, but not a lot around this area does. But does the Mayor actually have the power to appoint an acting supreme court justice? I thought only the governor or Tormey had the power to do that. I suppose Julian could suggest an appointment---but does he really have that kind of political juice anymore? So where's the quo in the quid pro quo here? I know he's cast a long shadow but he's been neutered by the bench for the past seven years or so. Although it's interesting how right after the Hanna stuff he leaves the majority leader position to take a seat on the bench.

The Gov. would appoint the new Supreme Court Judge. The new Judge would likely be a Utica City Court Judge (Popeo) which would leave an open position in the Utica Court System. The Mayor of Utica would be the one to make that appointment which would be SUllivan.

Even if Julian is resigning, which, if he IS tired of being a judge and figures a partnership where he can walk in, take a few big cases, have his ass kissed, and count the checks is worth the annoyance of having to practice law again, I don't buy that he does it to help his brother. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that Bob Julian's ability and even his interest in being a big-time power broker are largely a thing of the past. He may have a lot of access, but I think his influence has lessened. His relationship with his brother is reportedly not JFK-RFK's these days either. Besides, doing this complicated square dance to get his brother a comparatively measly # of votes doesn't make sense. Utica City Court Judge is NOT a position one calls a favor in to get. It's either a stepping stone (and not a very good one, ask Balzano, Popeo, Garramone) or it's a place people get kicked down to (ahem, hello Mr. Eannace).

If this is true, I don't think it's about politics. It's about money. And if the other Julian thinks he can work this to his advantage, he's really grasping at straws, and so is anyone else who thinks that Utica City Court is a nice place to hang your hat.
