I'm new to this area and shocked that there are no "new" luxury town house complexes around here complete with garages, storage, health club and pool. Any thoughts?

There should be a market for this in Utica where people can be close to cultural venues and Restaurants. Unfortunately the city turns itself inside out to build "affordable housing" because that is where the federal grants are, attracting those who burden social services while driving out those who could pay taxes that sustain city services. The city does nothing to attract the well heeled.

Yes I totally agree! Every city..town has townhomes that can accommodate the individual that wants to not have a commitment of a large home. What I have found in the town houses that are here is small only 2 bedrooms with 1/2 baths. and the ones are larger you might as well go buy a house I'm talking about the one behind the golf course they want like 2 to 3 hundred thousand ridiculous oh and there is one off of oxford near Chadwick's but again to my point you might as well buy a house ridiculous this town doesn't know anything about it that's all.

Uticans are not career oriented people who value time. Instead, they still buy into the whole suburbia home ownership garbage.

Very true. To them getting that home in Clinton or new Hartford is the ultimate goal. They really don't realize that to be successful a career person may have to move 3, 4, 5 times through their life to chase the money. Hell, to a typical utican a drive to Syracuse is an adventure! Lol

The word Luxury and Utica do not go together in the same sentence. I mean, these people think Hotel Utica is a luxury hotel. That should be a good indicator of Utica's standards.
So true. It's a nice place but very far from earth shattering.
