In all seriousness though, good luck with your venture. You are definitely one of the good guys. Wish I could help but I have young children and had to get out and to a better place while I was still able to. I made the right move, there is no question or doubt about it, BUT, I still care about my hometown, my family and friends. Best of luck.

The most important step in all of this, first and foremost, is to concentrate all your efforts and volunteers on getting the right people elected to office, or at least making sure that the totally wrong ones don't get in.

This is the smartest thing I read today! Has to get out (and take the kids too) while they still can! This is the thoughts of many of us now. NY State is sinking fast and I don't want to be caught up in it!

Thank you. I do appreciate you coming back to show some support after hitting me with that drive by post. Which did give me a laugh. I totally understand your spot. I sat on the fence with leaving for a long time. I've had to watch many do it. In fact twice I did leave only to come back for this crazy Whitesboro girl years back. I too have young children and they motor my drive. It's the thought of having to watch them walk away for decent opportunity that really sparks me.

We're going to do some great work. There are answers and the people have them. Tell your friends and family about us. I Hope to see you around the city sometime.

I moved to Utica in 1984. I have heard people talking about "revitalizing" Utica from the first day I made my own dumb decision to relocate here. I sincerely believe there is no hope for this town. It is doubtful that revitalizing this awful city will occur in my lifetime. Every other attempt has failed as there are too many negative factors working against you. I've already bought a home in Florida, and I am just counting down the days until I retire and move away from here and never come back.

You're not alone and unfortunately, it's that attitude that is our biggest obstacle. But we understand where it comes from. We're not the past, we are the future of Utica. Different people and a different generation and a WHOLE different attitude. I'm certain that you have something to contribute, come and help.

We're looking forward to you leaving too. We have enough negative people here already. If you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

you say vote Roffaro out, but who will get in, dont you know the two political groups in this area work together and no matter who you put in unless he or she is an independent thinker and away from the democrat, republican, independant, and conservative parties all things will remain the same. This person would have to finance their own run, so they would have to be wealthy, and most people with the exception of hanna, wouldnt even want to waste their time on such a broke andmessy city. So let the city go bankrupt and the bosnians will that the trash out.

Actually moron there are not enough negative people yet. We need MORE people pissed off at our fake DA, our taxation and erosion of freedoms.

Digruntled people are one of the checks and balances of the system.
Peope in Utica are becoming more and more angry and pretty soon they are coming for the leeches and frauds, they're going to burn the fkn place to the ground.

I say welcome. Too many weak minded and feeble types are too accepting of the problems the parasite class has saddled them with.

Personally I can't wait until it becomes actual violence. We need a couple dead politicians or crooked cops. Then they will really begin to sweat.

You got certain people in the city that are locked into extremely high paying jobs that now have union protection so the only way to get these people out is to let the city bankrupt and the state will come in and run things and rebargain the union wages and make cuts. Lets face it there is more going out than coming in and bankrupcy is the only way.It dont matter who you elect ,the powers to be will get to them and continue to givebig contracts to fire poice and dpw and city hall workers.

The person and persons (because this is in no way a one man job)are out there. We need to let them know that we will support them. We've got time to deal with the Mayor's office, right now we need to concentrate on getting the right folks on the Common Council and in the the County Leg.

We're well aware of political obstacles. The bottom line is is if people are just going bitch and take no action, NOTHING is going to happen. We need to get people educated about the issues and voting.

These unions have to be addressed by the next administration, absolutely. The transpiring of the last several years regarding these unions has really hurt. There are far more conducive routes that bankrupting the city.

Are you serious.

What kind of a warped minded loser are you. When you woke up on the floor this morning in a pool of your own vomit did you forget how to format a sensible thought.

With people like you and the rest of your ignorant knuckle-dragging freinds Utica will go down the toilet before you can say, "Sammy is a cretan".

The system is so broken that the only thing that will improve it is destruction, bankruptcy, and ridicule.
