HAHAHA the Turning Stone suing man over $45,000 jackpot this must mean all the mans playing on that day is void and all moneys should be returned to all the players even the money that was lost individually because you need a players card period the 90 grand should be returned also because the guys hand was void everyone should lose if you think the players at the table don't notice the player didn't have the card your wrong also i bet the guy didn't do it intentionality for the casino to say he played without a card from the start is slander the way i heard it on the news also if the casino is claiming the guy didn't play by the rules they should have replenished all the money back to the bad beat prize pool and award it to the next bad beat winners they do have a list of the winners hahaha and if the casino doesn't do this they could be sued by the next winners of the bad beat because they weren't notified that they are the winners of the cash prize fair is fair none of the winners at the table are winners of the bad beat prize pool all money is to be returned

but it sounds like it was a mistake of the casinos. how can the player be held responsible? Are they holding him responsible because he didn't say anything? How do they know he actually knew? Like I said I don't really know what happened, but the Casino should look at this as a Lessons Learned - hell I've lost so much money up there over the last 6 months - they can afford it!

Then they should be suing the other players who also collected from his winning hand. If he win was fraudulent then so are theirs.

no. the poker jackpot is split among the players at a table when a "bad beat" hand is played - meaning you have 4 of a kind that gets beat by a higher 4 of a kind or a straight flush. to be eligible, you have to have a 2 dollar poker card - in fact, you need to have the card just to sit at a table. sometimes the dealers don't check, so some players will try to play with an old card or no card at all. i dont know what happened with this particular situation, but it sounds like one of the people at the table didn't have a card. i agree, though, that if he is found ineligible the casino should NOT keep his share, but divide it among the rest of the players at the table. its an expensive way to learn your lesson.

the guy prob. had no idea of the bad beat hand,....also for the dealer to let him play at the table shows the guy had a card the only person who is liable is the worker for letting the guy play period but i have played at the table before and the dealer would ask the chip runner to get a card for me and would still let me play they should have a huge sign for the poker card

This is exactly where the term Indian Givers comes from. I hope the Indians are using their own courts for this and not wasting taxpayers court time. This guy ought to give them a big middle finger!

Good point, if the OIN tries to bring this guy in to a US court he should be able to claim lack of jurisdiction. If OIN is a sovereign entity then they should not be able to use non Indian courts. Funny how they pick and choose when they want to be part of the USA and when they don't. Nice scam.
No Case

New York, NY

The Oneidas have no case. They already admitted it was their mistake. Besides, if the winner was not eligible to play, then every other player who got a cut of the win also needs to be sued because that hand of cards would have been ineligible. Instead, they are only going after one person not all. They didn't enforce their own rules before they guy sat down at the table, therefore its their loss.

Glad it's starting to show what dirt the indians are behind the scenes. They smile and greet you and steal from the less intelligent amongst us. It wouldn't break my heart if some nutcase bombed the place.
