Syracuse own ORIGINAL Delmonico's is far better than the North Utica location. Of course it's too far for those too cheap to drive there. God forbid they have to support the local economy.

Best I've had in a long time in regards to food and service. Nobody form this area will go because they will say too expensive. 3 couples the bill was about $500 with tip.

Frankie wrote: I recently dined there and it was a horrible experience, the food was greasy and oily, this kind of food could only plug up your arteries and give you a heart attack! So if you order the Cardiac special think twice before Dining there. I am very disappointed and will not go back? Actually dietary fat and cholesterol has no direct correlation to body fat or blood cholesterol levels. Try exercising and not being a fatass next time.

Chill. Nothing smacks of silly more than overhyping something with dodgy reasoning. I wish them well don't get me wrong but it's no Elaine's.

The point of the post is abundantly clear. Do I think they suck? I say that with my wallet that's all. On my list Delmonicos is a Chuck E. Cheese for adults that like wop retro. If you're Italian and you've eaten everywhere you'd see how garish that is. All kinds of also-ran restaurants grow into chains just as fast as they grow into their creditors. Time will tell if more sophisticated people outside that area will buy into the dead end Rat Pack nostalgia trend. "Delmonicos" will never get bought out by a Yum Brands you can believe that. So who's making the giant chickenwire & cement Frank Sinatra and Tony Soprano signs?

You have to know which kitchens source which dining points at TS to really enjoy it. Most of the stuff is deliberately bland because of the over 50 demographic. My stepdad loved that place he literally moved in and we swear between the work and the poker he didn't leave the property for months yuk!

So who's making the giant chickenwire & cement Frank Sinatra and Tony Soprano signs? Well their locations in Rochester, Syracuse, Utica, Albany, and Orlando all do pretty well. I anticipate the same for their new location.

Oh yeah - they taste far better than any high-priced steakhouse.
