I'll let you guys/girls in on the best gym in the area. City Gym in Utica. It's in a crappy location but once you walk upstairs you'll be surprised at how nice it is. It's wide open and spacious. Some of the people that work out there have been around for awhile too. And you can't beat the price. Plus I think it might be a 24 hr gym? Hands down the best gym if you want to be serious about working out.
What time do you your wife and daughter go there? It's such a great place, I'm sure you would allow it....because....you're obviously a moron. The owner's wife won't even set foot in the place, let alone be seen in the neighborhood.

24 hour? They don't even stay open till 10pm, their posted closing time...says a lot for the employees.

Spacious, apparently means too much area to clean....personally, I have difficulty training in a Hazmat suit, and bullet proof vest.

That's not true at all. City Gym doesn't accept food stamps.

Well along with all the pro's of why to workout there, there will be some con's as well. If you can make it from the parking lot to the stairs without getting mugged, that's a good thing. While not in the best part of town it's still a decent, affordable gym.

I would never worry about being mugged in the parking lot. It is not prosperous area by a long shot, some beat up old houses; it is definitely not a place to fear for your life. Poor people do not necessarily equate to crime.

That was more or less a joke. The back parking lot is actually not a bad place of town. Quite a bit of money in that small area. Right across the street is a place called the Emmaus House that has multiple camera's outside. Then there's the fire station right next to that. Next to the Emmaus house lives some old millionaire lady. Next to the fire house is a retired police officer.
Besides who wants to try and mug anyone into fitness or someone who has just drank a pre workout drink? There's better people to try and mug.
But I do believe poorness and crime go hand in hand. Well according to just about every crime stat posted.
