Something sparked a memory today of the Charles Stahl murder (I knew his kids, my parents were friendly with his inlaws) and happened to google him. I also came across the old Fulton county articles that someone in this thread referenced earlier. Two things grabbed my attention. 1.) he had been elected president of his local union earlier that year; and 2.) his widow remarried about 2 years after the murder and was involved in a domestic dispute involving a gun.

The police interviewed 1200 people and gave 20 people polygraph tests. I wonder if any of those interviews are public record. It would be interesting to read.

anybody remember a guy named mike dimatteo, i think that is the spelling, he and a friend were out shooting one day, and his friend "accidently shot mike in the head" ended up marrying mike's wife, this was back in 74 -76. i always thought that there was more involved......

they claim that ron samanka did it. He denied it, and was released a few years ago someplace in syracuse ny now. Did admit to killing farmers wife or the farmer himself but denies any wrong doing in surace case. would love to see somebody open this. Some family members still wonder. so sad.

I remember the Johnnie Lee Bell case so vividly, and how scared we were in Cornhill growing up at that time. Today we have good reason to be scared in Cornhill everyday!:) I know they eventually made an arrest, but I don't remember the specifics.
Thanks to the observation of a Sgt. at the Sheriff's department. Terry Ball who was arrested on a seperate charge was found in possession of a 22 rifle. The Sgt. notified Deputy Chief Fracolla of UPD at the time and the balistics from the rifle matched the slug found in the victim. Ball was convicted of the homicide

Speaking of "cold cases", a pretty well known set of cold cases from 82 and 84 are about to blow wide open in Iowa if friend's info is correct.

What triggered the new info? A modern police force admitted they had screwed up in the 80s, and new people who were shunned came forward.

Too bad Oneida County still holds its retired criminal LEO phonies in higher regard than a dead girl's parents.

That is all.

The fat pubic servants of CNY obviously took the sad truth hard by the way they modded 9 Xs on your post.

Boo hoo fat bois the Simon story is your legacy of endless FAIL. The police in parasite county obviously consider protecting their own job#1 instead of doing the right thing by this girl's parents.

Now go start your racist posts and Xs youFunckingAsshole parasite people. At least everyone including YOU knows we all see what you really are after all those years bois!

<quoted text> yea, I think the clincher was that they found some of Sarah's cloting in his home, he did recant his confession. I know they were on Bob Wood for quite a while until Lent confessed. I do recall hearing about psychics being on the scene, and the father wasn't happy about it, always did wonder why. What harm could it have done, if they were right, it would be great, if not, back to square one.
If you (the father for example) already had deep suspicions about Camp Good News of Cape Cod (of relatively recent historic sexual abuse accusation notoriety) then calling in a psychic would be offensive to anyone let alone someone of principle or conviction...and yet Camp Good News and Chuck DeVita (former upstate NY teacher) went unexposed for two additional decades. The police union scum pig animals ignored drug dealing amongst themselves, had four felony convictions (Troop C early 90's) against active duty State Police and even today insist "those people (on Cape Cod) are "good people" (very unprofessional in terms of "policing"). It should be no surprise the child was never recovered for the family given the corruption, incompetence, political ambitions and rampant elephantine character flaws of the task force and prosecutors in charge.
Instead all the public and the family has received are the same carefully filtered flowery press releases from more political wannabe police union pig animals.

The worlds' Premier Investigative organization (according to themselves) called in a "Psychic".

Has that been confirmed? I haven't seen any "reporting" (as usual).

I went to school with wessley sister.i knew him when he was a kid. I cant say that I know what was happening in his life when he disapeared, but I dont believe for a second that he went missing on purpose. And there were reports that his coat and belt were found. sounds fishy to me. Wish authorities would pull it out of thr cold case files. It would be great for their family to have closure. Or, just the answer to, what really happened to wes?
