Ancora is great but you won't find sushi there. Its basically a tapas menu. Definitely check it out.

Sorry, I haven't been there on a Saturday.....didn't know they served sushi........thanks for correcting me. I will definitely try it. If its as good as everything else on their menu then I'm sure it will be as good if not better than Mitsuba.

Tapas means a variety of appetizers. So if you are looking for a dinner, don't go there. You will be broke and hungry when you leave.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the feedback I've heard. Its amazing that Downtown is making a small U-turn. 257 Steakhouse is on its way back, Space is busy, Stanley's new marquee looks great, Ancora...good goin!

You must just be too used to going to Taco Bell and ordering from the dollar menu. Ancora is not expensive at all and the food is really good.

2 people for "LUNCH"
1 entree' each and 1 glass of wine each.
with a 20 per cent tip, it came to 78.00
Dinner for 2 would probably be 125.00
That's only 25 gallons of gasoline.

After subtracting your 20% tip and 8% tax it turns out that the whole meal was $60. Being generous and assuming you each had a $10 glass of wine that would leave $40 for the 2 entrees. You must have ordered the most expensive thing on the menu to get that total so please don't use this as an example of what the average lunch there would cost. Most people could eat lunch there with wine for about $40 or less, which at $20 apiece isn't really that bad for the quality of the food and the service.
