Each town, village, city and county has police. Why do you need State Police?
#107 Sep 15, 2013
Bingo! And duplication of duties. How many police agencies do you need?
#108 Sep 15, 2013
Every single little hick town, village, etc has a police force. Im surprised german flats doesnt have a police force yet! I live in a town of over 40k people and is a suburb of Albany. There's no clifton park police department. We have saratoga sheriffs and the state police. More than enough.
Kirkland police department? Are you sh it ting me?! Lol.

You are all nuts!!!!! Yes, we need jobs and health care but without police, troopers, state police all the damn nuts in the world would be destroying everything, looting, killing, robbing, beating people, etc. etc. Yeah, like I said you are all nuts!!!!!! Oh, and make sure you don't call the police when someone tries to break in your home, or robs your car, or beats up your kid. Like I said you are all NUTS to say they are not needed!!!!!!!
Scary thought, thank God all you haters are laughed at.

State troopers are very important ! They pull you over for speeding and give you a ticket because that's NOT what you're supposed to be doing !
They're protecting the people ! Chances are you you get pulled over by a state trooper and get a ticket for speeding you won't be speeding anymore ! God bless our troopers ,officers , soldiers and all of America's Heros !

I was stopped by a State Trooper in upstate NY, he gave me a ticket for going thru a red light. I know I didnít go thru a red light, it was yellow. SO I go to dmv traffic court. State trooper came strutting in 5 mins before cutoff time. The other troopers were in uniform, but my trooper was wearing black military pants and an old red tshirt with holes in it. He had his weapons belt on with taser and club. Iím like wtf? The troopers were all playing on their cell phones throughout court. The judge hardly gave anyone a break. I still had to pay the fine and got 3 points on my license. I did not go through a red light, it was yellow! I am always very careful about that, especially in the city with the red light cameras! And how is it fair that a red light camera ticket is $50 and no points, but if a cop/trooper gives you a red light ticket itís $185 and 3 points ??!@!! That is totally unfair. NYS has the highest fines and ticket fees, it is ridiculous!! NY State Troopers are government goons! Itís all just a big money grab by NY gov. We donít need these goons. Any time I ever really needed a cop they were never there.

State Troopers patrol the highways, localities, investigate crimes including narcotics, organized crime, auto theft, online crimes, and support people who have endured tragedies. The qualifications to become a NYS Trooper are extremely competitive. 66K is underpaid in comparison to the risk they face. Most troopers work 14 out of 28 days. Teachers are done by 2:30pm and have off about 12-13 weeks a year. There are a significant amount of troopers who have died or have been seriously injured while protecting strangers. Dont be upset because you made nothing of your life. Get an education and look for a better paying position. I'm sure you will agree at that point working in an office or school is a breeze in comparison.

OMFG- I can't stop laughing! I love the part about the meth labs being the only growing industry! Hahaha good point.

That wasn't a Trooper, moron, it was a US Marshal.

Most folks have a love hate feeling when it comes to cops...We hate em when they're handing us a ticket and we love em when they catch the looser who broke into our home etc etc...Their pay is good , its not astoundingly high..
The biggest problem with NYS is the million PDs drive down Route 5 from New Hartford to Canstota... New Hartford PD, Kirkland PD, Vernon PD, Sherill PD, Oneida PD, Canastota PD... The only town that doesn't have one along rt 5 is Westmoreland....Go the other dire took down Commercial drive, New York mills, yorkville, whitestown, whitesboro, Oriskany all have PDs... Its rediculous....Especially considering Oriskany, whiteboro, and yorkville are all in whitestown..All those towns want the traffic infraction revenue so bad they won't just make one general PD.... Or just let the sherrifs department handle all traffic affairs or state police...Honestly all those town cops are the dick wads.. They're is always some young early 20s peckerhead pulling everyone they can over in those small town PDs...They always find some dumb reason to stop you also...Give you the "you been drinking ?" Treatment.... I'd seriously like to punch the peckers right in the kisser...The state police and sheriffs always seem more respectable towards people and half the time just tell ya to slow it down or get the taillight fixed...Town cops are cocksuckers...
NYS is weird compared to other states... In other states the county sherrifs handle homicides out side of city jurisdictions... In NY, the state police handle them..
with that said NYS is a complete fuck up anyway, everything is done ass backwards... I swear the politicians and lawmakers probably shit out of their mouth and eat through their asses...

Tony Randazzo worth every penny?

As a former administrator, I know for a fact that most teachers in this area start out at a minimum of 50K.....and their job is rarely life threatening.
#121 Dec 11, 2013
Nice spelling and grammar. When did you dropout of school?
#122 Dec 12, 2013
How idiotic to say we don't need cops. Until someone robs you, then you'll be the first ones complaining that they aren't doing their job, or came too slowly....etc.
Do you not understand the word "jurisdiction"?
I bet not one of you complainers could even qualify, let alone pass any of the tests.
I would prefer to have too many law enforcement officers available than not enough.
#123 Dec 12, 2013
Why did you go through a yellow light? YOU took the chance by doing that. You're just mad because you got caught. So....the light was for sure yellow? Even when the back end of your vehicle went through it? Does your fridge light stay on when you close the door?
#124 Dec 12, 2013
^^I was taught under these circumstances, most likely the $30K was only $20K at the time....and I didn't become a delinquent. Therefore, your point is not made. I would blame delinquency on parents. Regardless of that, who is supposed to corral these delinquents, teachers?
#125 Dec 12, 2013
I'm sure it was yellow the last time you looked at it but it was red when you crossed the "stop line"...heard that line before!
