police urging area residents to learn to handle firearms so they can defend themselves while waiting for police said Friday that law enforcement cutbacks have changed the way police can respond to crime,,,With officers laid off and furloughed, simply calling 911 and waiting is no longer your best option,,,,You can beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under the bed, or you can fight back? Consider taking a certified safety course in handling a firearm so you can defend yourself until we get there

That should be happening now with how long it takes for the county 911 center to send a police car!

the police could care less about the people they only think and talk about officers being fired and how crime is going up they would never make a public statment like this to fight crime

Wait for the government to help you...you die.

Take care of yourself...goes against the Leftist Socialist agenda.

Choose wisely.

When do the training classes start to teach U.S citizens to defend their 2nd Amendment right against those who may try and take our guns away? The government and law enforcement agency's have really over stepped on our constitutional rights this time!
