epitome (post #15), from December 1968 until the mid-1980's everyone in the USA (including N.M.)who bought ammunition had to show ID, and their information was recorded in an ATF-approved "bound book" at the store.

Google "Gun Control Act of 1968" and see what it was like in those days.

Prior to this week I believed the GCA of 1968 was the stupidiest gun law ever passed. Not anymore.

Is there any limit on how many guns one person can own? Is there any limit on how much ammo you can have for each gun you own. Do you have to register all guns you own or just semi auto guns? What is the charge if you choose to not register your guns and you get caught with them? I know many many many people who will not register their guns and I don't blame them!

I have an SKS... that does not use a removable magazine.. do i still have to register it? Sense the law says that an assault rifle is a semi auto with detachable magazine, can i put a suppressera on it?
