The parent was a POS like everyone says. What do you do when you are 13, and afraid. No advocate. What do you do?

I have never been beaten by another human being, especially my own father. I don't know how many times I could take it, especially from my own parent. He's still a child, and very damaged. Pray for him.

So the boy took control of the situation himself since the court etc failed, there has to be some repercussion for his actions.But don't blame him for his actions. I'm sure if the father wasn't abusing him like we are informed this would not have happened.Besides, murderers are let go of prisons every day and repeat. Give this kid a chance,it's not like he's a serial kiler. You don't know of any classmates missing.I'm sure he's had scuffles in school like most ,especially since he probably was introverted.Kids pick up on that and run with it.

how about this.... whats done is done, the kid did what he felt he had to do to survive. He snapped, it happens when kids are not helped. I witnessed my dad and brother go after eachother with butcher knives. This was one of those times my bro snapped because he was abused every single day of his life. cops were called, dad stays and bro gets sent away for a while and then right back to the hands of the abuser. Our system sucks when it comes to helping children. I just pray that joseph is surrounded by loving family members when he gets out. He will have to live with this for the rest of his life. God bless his mom, my prayers are with her.

This is a sad story. I don't believe killing was the answer but I wasn't there. Ik all parties involved. From what I have been told is the mother is a bit on the crazy side. If someone was abusing my child I would go thru hell to protect them at whatever cost.

You are probably right, she probably also lived in fear of him. If I remember the facts of this case, the father and mother were Divorced and the Father had Custody of this boy. The Mother tried to everything she could to try and get her son back - but no one would listen to her.
Children do NOT lie about sex abuse. If one of my children, or grandchildren, ever told me something like this I would definitely believe them. Fortunately, none of my children or Grandchildren have ever had to face this type of trauma.

I went to school with this kids father, he was an absolute loser, a drug addict at age 13 , beat his first girlfriend at 16, and it appears he never got any better
The grandfather was a mean SOB and the grandmother. was no better
now this kid was arrested for stealing!
