How dare you suggest Obama tell a private company what to charge! That's communism and socialism and marxism and all other bad things!

Dip-shit, in case you do not remember, gas was at 5 dollars a gallon the summer before election, then temporary dipped down. It's still cheaper than when big-oil-buddy Bush was in office.

Don't hate me, hate Bush. Look it up. It's not my opinion. We had the highest gas prices when Bush was President. And when you adjust for inflation, they're even higher.

If I remember correctly didn't gas prices TRIPLE under Bush? So now they're doubled from what they were before they were tripled...its still cheaper than when Georgie was sittin in dc.

Henry, you continue to prove you are an IDIOT. When Bush left office gas was 1.76 dollars per gallon. Please stay ignorant your posts show how our school systems have failed.

You people are clueless - when Bush left office - gas was under $2 per gallon. Look it up before you make yourselves look even dumber (if that is even possible)...

The price of a gallon of gasoline is directly proportional to the future trading price of a barrel of crude oil and the output from refineries.

There is little regulation associated with energy pricing, so the President has little say in what we pay at the pump.

In the summer of 2008, when gas prices were at an all-time high, Brent Crude was trading at over $146.00 per barrel. It's currently trading around $95.00 -$96.00.

Again - you are WRONG. Seriously, if you don't know what you are talking about - you should just shut your trap - some of us actually know the history on gas prices and YOU, clearly do NOT.

guess you got bushnesia too. Thats cool.

I do KNOW I was paying over $5 a gallon for diesel when bush was sitting his ass in DC, and I do KNOW the price of gas wasn't far behind.

Does it really matter? The President doesn't set gas prices. Or flat screen TVs, eggs, bananas, hairspray or chewing gum. They're all products and the producing companies can charge what the hell they want--without you blaming anyone but them.
