Man sentenced in Erie St. burglary
“I have no question that it was in his best interest to suggest to him and encourage him to plead guilty. There were also other charges lingering in the background that I won't get into.”
UTICA - A city man was sentenced to 17 years in prison Tuesday for entering the Erie Street residence of a woman who was stabbed nearly 20 times in 2005. via Observer-Dispatch

At first I thought they got what they deserved but as I read farther, and if it is true, the woman should have reported the first robbery and certainly the second robbery. I think there was more going on than them walking in to rob her. So much one needs to know; why she did not say she shot a man, why she did not call the police, why she did not go outside at any time in the period of time she shot someone and the time the body was found. They are probably all three guilty of something but not from breaking in her home. My oponion of course
