The only problem with owning any business in Westmoreland or anywhere in ny is that none of the Westomreland 'businesses' pull down $4m+ a year A.T.

"The End".

Plant potatoes get potatoes. Not to many 'millionaires' or Theoretical Physicists are coming out of Notre Dame, Proctor, or Westomereland Senior Highchair. Sorry. End of discussion.

As a Proctor student, I am ashamed at how many people believe all of the lies that are constantly spread about the school. It is a very good learning environment. I am in honor classes as well as "regular" classes and I have found that the majority of my fellow students are very willing to learn. Yes, we have the unfortunate percentage that are not there to learn. But, so does New Hartford, Notre Dame, Clinton, Whitesboro etc. I proudly tell others that I am a Proctor student. I laugh at their scared reactions when I'm asked about the apparent daily gun fights and drug deals that according to people of other districts happen on a daily basis. I have managed to keep a very decent average and I have learned a lot. I learned more in the "regular" classes than the honors classes. I love going there. The diversity is extremely unique and I think the school really prepares you for real life. Any school of that size will have some issues. I'm not saying it's a perfect school. But, it does really prepare one for the future. I bet you the one from Proctor who has been exposed to so many cultures and religions and customs will be a lot better prepared in future occupations and society than the one who has spent their entire grade school career surrounded by the same culture and race.

The only reason they have "normal" sized buses for these immature unsophisticated future corrections losers and pension douches is because they just don't make school buses with one row of seats and it would waste all the gas the administrators of these reject factories use to get back and forth to "work".

Just LOOK ate the young people walking around utica and tell me you see tomorrow's Nobel Peace Prize in Humanity or Science winner here! LMAO! 99% of the people in utica can barely TALK. The usual reply here says it all and most are under 15 words. This is not where you're going to find many "deep" or "heavy" people unless you count physically heavy then you just look into the public service sector for the real planetoids of self-reinforcing generational stupidity.

My child had the same reactions when he told people he was a Proctor student. We would laugh about it.

I will say, also, that as a teacher at Proctor I agree wholeheartedly. There are a great bunch of kids there who are truly there to learn. Of course, as with anywhere you go, there will always be the rotten eggs that come along and try to spoil the pot. We have a very structured team of diciplinary staff who get rid of the 'trash' mighty quick. All four of my children graduated from Proctor, and I LIVE in New Hartford.
Thank you

Says it all the rest of the ostriches are all kissing other ostrich butt! They won't ever change. As long as 4 overpaid teachers show up to tell the pinheads how great they are everything will be alright. Established 1867!

People often find it useful to comment on something they don't know or understand. Unfortunately, they are often wrong in their assumptions. You know the saying, "People who assume...."

Proctor has ALWAYS been a GREAT school..you will always find the jealous bunch, the other bunch who know nothing about us,the ignorant bunch that think the grass is greener somewhere else, and the ones that 'go along with the program' because they have no mind of their own..I live in new hartford, but let me tell you this, I would work at Proctor ANY DAY before I would try to teach a bunch of 'spoiled brats' who think they can't do any wrong, along with the parents.

SchoolDigger Ranks Thomas R Proctor High School 870th of 1159 New York public high schools.(See school ranking list.)
Utica City School District:
SchoolDigger ranks Utica City School District 646th of 683 New York school districts.(See district ranking list.)
Considering Syracuse schools rank: 834, 934, 978, 997, 1055 and 1114, Utica doesn’t seem all that bad. Of course when you compare urban school districts with suburban district, the urban districts will score lower. Poverty levels, parent’s education levels, ESL students, household incomes, etc… have a lot to do with student outcomes. To try and put the blame on teachers & administrators is foolish. Utica schools do pretty well when you compare them to other urban school districts with similar demographics.
