if this is so, give some examples, please.

Utica is a great place for any variety of ethnic food from around the world, both in good restaurants and in small ethnic grocery stores.

That is the same old stuff that folks are always blasting about. If it is that bad, you might consider leaving. But, I wonder about those that actually like this area? Admittedly, rust belt city with problems, but lots of things to like as well.

Never heard of the wax? Every time a magazine rates waxes, whether it be cars or boats, Collinite consistently rates at the top. I use it on both my cars and boats and love it.

You also complained that "We are not generating publicity free to buy products."

Why the heck not? Here we have a source of pride in our area that produces a superior product and we should celebrate it. Not turn our backs.

Every successful area promotes the good they have, here we tend to focus on the bad.
The list above about "the drugs, theft, arson, lousy politicians, fires, harassment,p oor steets,no jobs, old buildings, garbage all around, dilapitated houses,no stores, high taxes," if you think that Utica is somehow unique and is the only city facing these problems, I say look around.
Go to other cities. These problems are everywhere.

It goes without saying we should be fighting to fix this stuff.
But I can tell, you everywhere I travel when I say I am from Utica, I am surprised how many people know us. The thing they always mention is our food.
We have things to be proud of but we should never stop pushing to get better.

no, I am not - but you made me laugh. In an earlier post someone asked about fireplaces and I gave my opinion on three businesses too. I don't own any of them either.

Utica has the best cheese in the US of A: government cheese. And they have lots of it. Uticans should have cheese coming out of their pores. The streets of this city are flowing with cheese. And the sad thing is Utica still looks like a dump. Boarded up windows, cracked sidewalks and pot-holed streets. Drugs, gangs, pit bulls, handicapped people everywhere, the worst education and health care system in the state of NY.

Gotta love Ootica. Don't forget about our 5 star hotel that smells like a moldy and smokey Motel 6. I hear prostitutes and their johns rent it by the hour.

I use collinite wax on autos and boats. Why don't you google it Sue. It is a great product made right in our own backyard. I do not own Collinite corp....but I do know what we should embrace and be proud of and collinite wax products is one of them.

and while YOU go on and on, don't forget to mention that drugs are a problem ALL over the world..not just in Utica...you are a narrow-minded person, or don't know what is going on in this world!!! Oh, and by the way, there is dirty politics ALL over the world, as there are NO jobs, dilapidated buildings. There are many, many more places that WISH they were half as nice as Utica. Maybe the ONLY thing you are right about are the 'taxes', but we have plenty of stores whether for grocery shopping, or clothes shopping, including fine restaurants, and fast food eateries, pizza parlors.
