A new study that looks at Department of Education data has found that black students are suspended more than three times as often as white students. I guess we haven't learned anything.

You prove that black kids are suspended for no reason other then being black, and were behind you. But you also need to prove the facts are wrong about blacks having higher rates of criminals, lower test scores, because it seems with these facts, it's not racism, it's they misbehave more often. Sorry if you can't deal with the truth, sucks to be you.

They can't prove your wrong, all the statistics say you're correct. The article even points out they didn't take the reasons into account, just the numbers, the article is racist for not wanting people to see the truth about why they were thrown out.

Nice post and to the point. Nothing you said was deceptive or incorrect. They have omitted any instances of why, they only use numbers and act like it was because of racism, Hiding the truth and trying to get sympathy for young thugs, such a disgrace.

Just like the tray martin scenario all over, a thug made to look like a common upstanding citizen.

I am someone without a racist bone in my body; but I can tell you that from working in schools in this area, there does seem to be more issues with black children in terms of discipline. I do not believe our principals are targeting black children. What we really need to do is determine, what is going on with our children. I was fortunate to hear Geoggrey Canada's speech when he spoke at MVCC last year. Paul Touch, who wrote "How Children Succeed" was recently in town and he spoke about how poor kids are less likely to succeed and he asked the question how do we steer these kids toward success. This is where we need to focus our attention. What can we do to help these children?
