It's obvious from the arrogant tone of the "Voice of Reason" that we have a School Board member posting here demonstrating all the arrogance that the people of New Hartford are getting tired of.

Sorry School Board Member:

-Voters are tired of hiring unqualified coaches.

-Voters are tired of 3% pay raises for an already overpaid and under performing School Superintendent.

- Voters are tired of National School Rankings that are dropping every year.

- Voters are tired of unnecessary early contract extensions for an under performing School Superintendent.

- Voters are tired of arrogant School Board Members who say "that's the way WE do it in New Hartford and if you don't like it LEAVE".

- Voters are tired of School Board members like Beth Soggs who text boyfriends during School Board meetings

- Voters are tired of School Board members like Jim Stephens who's only answer to why he voted to extend Bob Nole's contract two years early is " Only the experienced Board members can understand."

- Voters want a school board that is independent, humble as public servants and that are not sitting there all starry eyed as Bob Nole asked for yet another raise.

Dear Voice of Reality: I think your relationship to reality is tenuous at best. I assure you I am not a board member. Furthermore, my suggestion to "leave" had only to do with your apparent unhappiness. Certainly a move to Clinton or Whitesboro will effect a positive change in your outlook. Again you reveal your petty vendettas and myopic and wrong minded view of our School District. The fact is we are a top rated district with great teachers, dedicated administrators, outstanding students and a supportive community that understands the challenges that teachers, administrators and students deal with day and day out in a complex and ever changing world.
This is nothing but Mumbo-Jumbo and Talking Points. So far no one has been able to articulate any concrete accomplishments of Bob Nole and why he deserved a 3% pay raise on top of his $200,000 salary or why the School Board needed to extend his contract two years early. The School Districts rankings are tanking, the costs are skyrocketing and we need new School Board Members who can follow the rules and right the ship.

You should reread your posts for a lesson in mumbo jumbo. I'm not offering up any concrete points because I don't accept your premise. I'm not going to waste my time trying to discuss something with someone that has such a flagrant bias as you do.

In other words, only an experienced School Board Member can explain why Bob Nole needed a 3% pay aise

I think everyone here who wants change has been posting facts:

Fact: The School Board voted to give Bob Nole a 3% raise when he was already making over $200,000 a year.

Fact: The School Board made no public announcement of the 3% raise vote until the meeting the vote occurred

Fact: The School Board, including Jim Stephens, voted to extend Bob Nole's contract two year early

Fact: None of the School Board members have been able to give any factual list on why Bob Nole needed a 3 % pay increase or a contract extension. According to Board member Jim Stephens, "Only Experienced School Board Members can understand"

All we get from the Bob Nole fan club is : "Trust us, that's the way we do it in New Hartford."

I know one thing, I will NOT be voting for Jim Stephens. 20 years is long enough, time to give other New Hartford residents a chance.

Your bias is very evident. You won't give any concrete points or can't, because there are none to give regarding the facts stated by another poster?

Agree. To get rid of the AD you must get rid of Nole. To get rid of Nole we have to vote out those School Board members who voted to extend Nole;s contract two years early. This year that means voting out Jim Stephens. Next year its Beth "Text" Soggs and Lisa Philipson.

We need to get our school district back on track. We need new school board members.

What you are proposing is not as easy as you may think. Stephens has the support of the administration (for obvious reasons), but he also has the support of the teachers, because he has historically voted in their favor and I am sure they would rather keep who they know vs an unknown (can't blame them). Potentially, that leaves one open space and there are several candidates running who are friends of the AD and Mr. Nole. Mr. Nole is sitting on a contract that is not up for renewal until the end of 2016 (thank you to Stephens, Soggs and Philipson) and I am not sure you can get rid of the AD with Nole in place, because we can not forget the union which makes it very hard to fire a teacher.

So it is extremely important to get out and vote for Fusco! He has no ties with the current administration, knows how to follow the law, is familiar with negotiations, a leader not a follower, and a person who can make tough decisions for all of NH.

He is honest sincere and will fight for what is right for our children. He is a neutral voice who is not in bed with anyone but his wife.

King lives on one side of Alvanos, right next door kids our friends etc. a big NO for her, and on other side of Alvanos' his next door neighbor has one of Fusco's signs. Two no votes automatic right there, if you are looking to put NH back on track away from the corruption.
Deck, hands down is a big NO. Alvanos' puppet right there.
Leaves Shkane, Tangorra, Stephens, and Santiago.
Anybody remember how Stephens voted for extending Nole's contract?
I'm thinking maybe Tangorra, and either Santiago or Shkane. Anybody with a respectable input, please voice as its right now a toss up for the three.

Let's take a look, you are backing Steohens who has been on the Board for decades, but did not know that coaches had to meet certain standards before being hired, or did know and voted for them anyway. By the way, he may have not known about the qualifications until last year (as a board member he should have), but even when it was brought to the full attention of the board, he still voted for unqualified coaches. This was against State law! What did he want to do about this - nothing! Also, there is still the fact he voted to extend the Superintendent's contract, two years before it was coming up for renewal! Really, this is a candidate you think should be re-elected?
As for Shkane, what does he offer? Oh, he has kids in school. Wow, that's a great reason to vote for him.
So in summary, you are backing one candidate that has shown he votes against State policies regarding minimum requirements regarding coaches and a candidate who has kids in the school. Oh, and you have the gale to point out grammar issues!

Seems like you have a lot to say about people you don't even know. I have been reading your posts. Shkane seems to have a lot more to offer than just having his kids in school. I think it is a plus to have kids in school for he will work harder to do what is best for all of our children. Isn't that what the members of the school board should be doing?? What is best for our children and prepare them for their future? Not just in sports but music , art and academics?? He is honest , and will let out voices be heard. From what I know he is a neutral party.

I've heard shkane speak. He should get your vote. He is running on his own, not siding with anyone. Very honest and sincere. He has coached, and taught my daughter in religion class. I think he will be a great addition to the school board!

Wow sooo much about NH school board members and hopefuls ! So much mistruths and slander. Hopefully the right 2 candidates will be voted in on Tuesday. Seems like everyone has an agenda and something to sling in the world of topix. Stephens to back Nole . Fusco to support cousin Flemma. King to overthrow the administration or to side with the AD her neighbor. Tangorra to make it be heard that she was at all of the board meetings. I guess she gets around. Shkane to do what is best for the children. Deck to steal votes away from Fusco and support the AD. Looks like tough choices ahead. May the best 2 win.....

Fusco is Cousins with Mr. Ed Flemma . Also Fusco and King seem to be running together. Everywhere you go you hear Fusco and King. So I guess you are wrong about connections.
