Let's take a look, you are backing Steohens who has been on the Board for decades, but did not know that coaches had to meet certain standards before being hired, or did know and voted for them anyway. By the way, he may have not known about the qualifications until last year (as a board member he should have), but even when it was brought to the full attention of the board, he still voted for unqualified coaches. This was against State law! What did he want to do about this - nothing! Also, there is still the fact he voted to extend the Superintendent's contract, two years before it was coming up for renewal! Really, this is a candidate you think should be re-elected?
As for Shkane, what does he offer? Oh, he has kids in school. Wow, that's a great reason to vote for him.
So in summary, you are backing one candidate that has shown he votes against State policies regarding minimum requirements regarding coaches and a candidate who has kids in the school. Oh, and you have the gale to point out grammar issues!
And intelligent people will see that I never mentioned Shkane having kids in the district, so your remarks were a definite attempt at creating a straw man argument, something that deceitful debaters like yourself do all the time. So for the reco9rd, Louis Shkane should be voted in because he is committed to this community and our schools. He will bring a fresh perspective to our challenges and will be a good representative of the common man.

Jim Stephens has served us well and despite your petty attempt at belittling his experience the voters will reward him for his dedication and tenacity. If we depended on people like yourself we would be in a sorry state. You don't say who you support. Please do so we know who is getting the pinhead vote in this election.

This is a bunch of BS and propaganda designed to help Bob Nole continue to live his $130,000 a year taxpayer funded dream. The truth is only ONE school in all of Central NY made the top 500 nationally: Fayetteville-Manlius. New Hartford, which ranked at one time 129 has now dropped to 1023 under Bob "$130,000 a year" Nole. So go ahead and vote for Jim Stephens if you think that is acceptable.

Yes sir, like dealing with pinheads and your slimy friends is everyone's description of a "dream job." The fact is its a highly challenging job, one that you aren't even remotely qualified for, let alone competent to speak about. It is a well known fact (obviously not by you) that people who focus on someone's salary in a debate are jealous and lower intelligence individuals who are stupified by professional salaries.

If I had to pick one who is not "connected" and who is truly just running for the benefit of the students, with nothing to do with the sports controversy, or as a Bob Nole "groupie", I'd vote for Tangorra who has
wide spread support from Parents and Teachers. I also think Fusco
supports a common sense agenda and would be very effective to represent our district.

It's all about the "JEALOUSY" with people who think about themselves a little too much. You do realize there are people who earn quite a bit more do you? Be careful of that psyche degree you found in your fruit loops there please. You are embarrassing yourself and revealing an unsurprising level of shallowness from New Hartford.

Fusco?? Fusco??? He is related to that freak Ed Wiatr. He is a nut. No one should vote for anyone with any relationship to that man.

Jim Stephens voted to continue failure at NH by voting to extend Bob Nole's contract 2 years early. Stephens has to go.

No, you did not originally state any reasons why you are voting for Stephens or Shkane. Therefore, any person would know that my comments regarding both of these candidates came from other sources. So now that you have stated your reasons for backing these candidates, let's take a look at them. Mr. Shkane is committed to the community and schools. This could be said regarding all the candidates. Your second reason was, "he will bring a fresh perspective". Again, this could be said about any of the candidates excluding Stephens. Lastly, you stated he "will be a good representative of the common man". Let's see, how can this be interpreted - common = average (isn't his wife a doctor?). What about women. If you are so intelligent, shouldn't you be saying that he would be a good representative of the citizens of NH, the residents of NH or the community?

As for Mr. Stephens, you stated you are voting for him because of his dedication and tenacity. Yes, he has served for many years, but that does not excuse what he has done in the past by voting to hire unqualified coaches. Now, you may not think this is important, but to the parents who have children with athletic ability, they should expect and demand that the BOA follow the minimum rules set forth for hiring qualified coaches as they do for teachers. Some athletes are extremely intelligent, however, others rely on their athletic abilities to get into college for they may not be as intelligent as you.(I bet you were the teachers pet in school and not that great at sports.). Based on this one fact, I have crossed Mr. Stephens from my list.

In summary, you want Shkane for his fresh perspective and Stephens for his dedication. That appears to be a wash.

If you want to convince me to vote for Shkane, try giving some educational or work experience that demonstrates skills he could bring to the BOA not the fluff you offered.

By the way, I hated grammar and never said I was good at it, but my math and science skills are exceptional. So, feel free to correct my grammar for it doesn't bother me. Oh, you may want to check your own spelling.

In reference to Jim Stephens: I am so tired of being told to vote for a politician "because he works hard". I'm absolutely sick of it. I don't want "hard work" I want results! This vote for this guy because he works hard has lead to generations of do nothing political hacks who have done nothing!

Jim Stephens has been on the school board long enough. NH schools are failing. I don't want Jim Stephen's" hard work" . I want results and that means it is time to vote for someone else!
I'm going to give Fusco and Pam King a shot.

You are free to vote for whomever you desire, for whatever reason you want, but to say you're sick of a candidate's "hard work" is ridiculous.

There's the old straw man argument again. I wasn't talking about all New Hartford residents citizens or even the average. My comment was directed to one person, the writer of the comment. I would bet a year's salary that person makes considerably less than Mr. Nole and is indeed jealous, thus his lashing out at what would be a non-issue for most people in New Hartford. I don't have any "fruit loops" but I'd bet your pantry is full of them while your belfry is lacking everything except bats.

In case you could not comprehend the original post... I am sick of "hard work" without results. I am sick of being told to vote for a politician like Griffo, Picente, Tyksinki, D'Onofrio, Desitio and the rest of them because they "work hard" . They have done nothing and as much as Jim Stephens thinks he should be elected because he "works hard" he should NOT be reelected.

Time to vote for a new direction for the school board and that means Jim Stephens and his "hard work over 20 years" needs to go.

When I asked Jim Stephens why hr voted to extend Bob Nole's contract two year's early he told me, "only the experienced School Board Members understand why"

Thanks to Jim Stephens, we get two extra years of Bob Nole
. That means:

- That NH High School's national ranking will continue to drop as it has from 129 to 1023
- We get more of Alvanos as the Athletic Director with more nepotism and favoritism in school athletics.

- More 3% raises for Bob Nole and his administration staff.

Of course, only Stephens and his fellow "experienced School Board members" can understand why all of this is good for New Hartford and our children.

There are plenty of good people here in New Hartford who will serve us well as School Board Members. It's time to give others their opportunity to serve.

You people really need to get facts straight. Stop making up stuff because you dont agree with someone or something. If you think you can do better then become a candidate and run. I will definitily be voting for FUSCO because he is intelligent and the exact opposite of corrupt in any way. All of you talk about getting people in there that know what they are doing and not going to follow the crowd and that is fusco. My opinion

I agree with about Fusco! He is intelligent and can look at things from all sides. As a lawyer he will be able to add value regarding contracts and following policy. Hopefully better than other lawyers current and past.

Not sure who else I will vote for, I ruled out Stephens for past voting decisions, Deck and Schane for lack of value they offer. The others I am not sure on. Any constructive ideas!

You don't need a school board election, Even if you have 2 new board members, it's not enough to demand changes. Remember - majority rules. There is only one sure fire way to end the political mess. Screw the democratic bullshiat. Start a full blown revolution and remove EVERYONE on the board by force and overthrow the New Hartford superintendent and A.D. The question is - does New Hartford citizens have the balls to do so? Your call...

What do you mean? Class office could mean a lot of things, but in school, it's generally the most likable person who wins.
