If your a hard working taxpayer and care about the integrity of our town than you must vote for Fusco. The AD and his wife have created a dyfunctional sports program with their self serving ways. Many NH parents are disgusted by their arrogance and not following the rules. The AD has hurt the district and is unapproachable.

I spot at least 3 grammatical errors so I'm not sure you are qualified to preach on education.

Stephens voted to extend Bob Nole's contract two years ahead of time. Stephens supports the Athletic director Albania. Stephens is NOT the voice of reason and will NOT serve us well. Vote Fusco and King.

Let's take a look, you are backing Steohens who has been on the Board for decades, but did not know that coaches had to meet certain standards before being hired, or did know and voted for them anyway. By the way, he may have not known about the qualifications until last year (as a board member he should have), but even when it was brought to the full attention of the board, he still voted for unqualified coaches. This was against State law! What did he want to do about this - nothing! Also, there is still the fact he voted to extend the Superintendent's contract, two years before it was coming up for renewal! Really, this is a candidate you think should be re-elected?

As for Shkane, what does he offer? Oh, he has kids in school. Wow, that's a great reason to vote for him.

So in summary, you are backing one candidate that has shown he votes against State policies regarding minimum requirements regarding coaches and a candidate who has kids in the school. Oh, and you have the gale to point out grammar issues!

BINGO, you nailed it. They destroyed nh sports. Hired bab bad coached, catered to ther kids, and bullied parents and kids. They, along with some coaches must go now. SEE YA

Jim Stephens on why he voted to extend Bob Nole's contract:

" Only the experienced School Board Members understand."

The stay fresh date on Jim Stephens has expired. 20 years is enough. We need new vision. Vote anyone but Jim Stephens

Kudos to our current administrators, teachers, students, and board of ed members. For those who read the article in the Washington Post, you are aware that NH is the #1 school in Central New York, the 21st in the state, and third in upstate behind only Buffalo Honors and Pittsford. We have much to be proud of. Obviously the job is getting done. It seems that the only place politics reigns in on this forum.
Vote for the best candidates but keep in mind that if it isn't broken, it may not need fixing. And most importantly, although sports are an important part of the lives of many of our students, the real reason for an education is academics. And, few do it better.

Any school that forces children to take AP courses can rate highly. The fact is that many take the AP courses but few receive the AP credit. If that is the goal of education, they have been successful. The increased business at Sylvan Learning Center for tutoring students who can't do the work tells a story as well.

This is a bunch of BS and propaganda designed to help Bob Nole continue to live his $130,000 a year taxpayer funded dream. The truth is only ONE school in all of Central NY made the top 500 nationally: Fayetteville-Manlius. New Hartford, which ranked at one time 129 has now dropped to 1023 under Bob "$130,000 a year" Nole. So go ahead and vote for Jim Stephens if you think that is acceptable.

Here is the story in the Syracuse Post Stand dated April 23, 2014:

Its funny how thisnever showed up in the Observer Dispatch. Time for the Old Guard at the NH School Board to move on. Vote for new leadership to reinvigorate our schools

I dont think you understood the article. It was about AP courses only, not the total of all education offered in schools. Yes the smart kids are smart in NH but we talking a very small percentage. Overall NH dropped from 128 to around 1100 for the total school. The board has failed us terribly. THE JOB IS FAILING AND NOT GETTING DONE. Oh, by the way, I am a teacher in NH.

Ok so out of 26000 high schools in the US, New Hartford's scores remain in the top 5%. I am so proud of our students and very grateful to our dedicated teachers and administration for the education they provide to our students. I think the current board and administration have really served our children well. Let's not let politics and personal agendas focused on athletics get in the way of our children's academic progress.

Your being delusional. Not to long ago the School administration and the OD would brag about how NH was 129 in the nation. Now under Bob Nole the rankings have fallen every year to almost 1100. There are serious problems with his leadership and the leadership of old guard school board members like Beth Soggs and Jim Stephens. Bob Nole is as expensive as he is incompetent. If you want the rankings to go back up then vote for new blood on the school board. Jim Stephens needs to go and next year Beth Soggs should follow him out the door.

I am proud of our students and very very grateful to our teachers and administration. Please don't state that I am delusional. Whether we are 129 or 1200 we are among the best in the country. My statements are based upon facts not the BS that some negative people want to twist the facts to make us believe. Let's be proud of all that we have achieved. Let's build upon our progress and continue to do great things for our community. I am so proud of our students with high honors and our gifted athletes and our very talented students in our music programs. I was so fortunate to attend our Our Spring Musical that was spectacular and showcased the many talents of our children. One example of why New Hartford should be proud of our history and continued achievements. This forum would make you think otherwise but stand up against the negativity on this page and show the community how proud we are of all of our achievements.
