Make sure you tune in next year at this time so you can read my " I told ya so". Last years 7th grade team didn't win a game so they added some firepower to the 8th grade team.

Its personnel by the way not Personal. What a cluster mess. This year they have a 7th and 8th grade boys hoop team. Four 7th graders were moved up to the 8th grade team one of them being the AD's kid. That took away 4 spots from 4 8th grade boys. Do they really need to do that at this level. Whats the point of having two separate teams- i will tell you to allow more kids to play and generate interest in the program!! Not the case with NH. To make matters more interesting the past two years they would not allow any 7th graders to move up to 8th saying "7th graders stay on 7th and 8th on the 8th grade team. But its different this year cause the AD kid is involved. So transparent this district. Parents, worry about academics the AD and Nole cannot politic your kid out of an outstanding GPA!!! If I was one of those 8th grade parents kid who was cut for the 7th grader I would be quite upset. I hear the older alvanos who graduated did not even get into a college this fall, whats that tell you.
look at the bright side. 4 additional 7th graders get to play school ball. A quote attributed to the 7th grade coach last year was "they tell me I have to pick 12 kids but I can't even come up with 10" tells you there is a lack of talent in the 8th grade so they moved up the best 4 7th graders. Maybe the team won't go winless this year like it did last year:(

NOle and AlvaNOs need to be replaced. There is little if any confidence left in NH regarding their ability to manage well or fairly. But, NH tax payers must stop being complacent about who it is we employ as administrators. In this way, "rubber stamping" school budgets must stop.

Tell the School Board: "NOle AlvaNOs or NO Budget."

I like the budget. And you should know that the fifth grade team brought up 3 second graders cuz they won only two games last year. There is a fourth grader who will make varsity this year cuz his mother makes the best brownies and gives them to the maintenance man in the jr high. If you get rid of Alvanos this will all stop.

It has become 100% political now. The system is out of control. In sports, you play if you kiss azz or you are an insurance agent. Hint Hint. The board allowed this to happen with bad hires like Alvanos and his puppet coaches. It is too bad it came to this. Feel sorry for the kids.

If you like the budget with AlvaNOs' salary included in it then there's little you can do to replace him. The School Board has not and will not engage to fix what is happening at our school. The only option left that the Board has given the NH tax payers to hold the hired help accountable is through voting down the budget and voting in new Board members.

NOle AlvaNOs or NO Budget until they're gone.

It's nice to know that so much is being done at the younger levels of NH sports to win some games though. Letting elementary kids know that they can make varsity through baked goods may be the spark we need!

It seems the answer would be to raise the taxes enough so that the budget, when passed, can accommodate scholarships for 4th and 5th graders. Then, when they make the modified team we will be able to beat everyone, except maybe Whbt and a couple of the Utica inner-city schools with the "you know whats".

You're right, it's not a joke and I could care less if NH ever wins another sporting event. Not one bit of why athletics is important in developing children is being taught to our kids through the examples of these two men. Bullying and treating people like dirt for personal gain may work in some environments but it shouldn't here when it is ultimately the tax payers of NH that hold school employees accountable for their actions through the power of the vote.

NOle AlvaNOs or NO Budget and let the School Board know it's coming.

This may be shocking news: there is a whole world out here that does not revolve around the NH 7th grade basketball team.

Start by contacting the Board of Education at the link below and let them know what's going on. Tell them: NOle AlvaNOs or NO Budget.

I sent this in to the Board of Education.

What has happened to NH sports over the last 5 years is a disgrace. Pete Alvanos has ruined the sport programs with his bullying tactics and his favoritism to others. He has discourage many many kids from trying out and playing sports at NH. It is all about him, his wife and his non-athletic kids. Mr. Nole, you let this happen and you should go too. Our sport programs like football are destrouyed and basketball and baseball will follow too. Alvanos hires his buddies to coach and runs out respected coaches like Jones and Callan. Politics will always be around but NH has taken it to its limits, too far. Remember, what goes around comes around and it is happening now in NH and I will vote no to every budget ad tell all the friends I know in NH to vote no until Alvanos and Nole are dismissed.

PS

: I do have kids in NH school so I will remain unknown for now because I know it would hinder my children.
