Hey meathead, thanx for paying taxes. With my pension, soc. sec. & Roth when I retire I'll be sitting pretty. Thanx a lot there, pal. And if u don't like it meathead, then move the hell out of N.Y.S. Aswipes like you got tier 6 enacted along with that prik with ears Cuomo, so stop your pissing & moaning.
Now, I'm going to go & finish the rest of my vacation day instead of sparring with an aszwipe.

And that's the problem. Have you noticed how many have left NYS?

First, I'm not crying like a baby. I'm pointing out facts in a taxpayer funded system that is not equitable and is out of touch with the economic realities of the real world.
Second, if I wanted a civil service job I would have taken a test and pursued a career in the public sector. It never appealed to me. That's not the point. I am not envious. I'm angry that we have a system where the benefits in the public sector are so far out of whack with economic reality and I have to put up more and more of what I earn every year to support that system. Twenty five years from now when the benefits of Tier 6 are fully realized taxpayers won't have this problem to the degree that exists now. That really odesn't make me feel that much better though.
Just admit to yourself, you are a failure with no pension or future! thats your own fault! suck it up1

I wish I could show you how wrong you are. I've never expected anyone to take care of me in my retirement so I've planned for taking care of myself. I've had the help of some profit sharing and other employer contributions along the way but for the most part I've done the funding. I just never adopted that entitlement attitude so prevalent in the public sector.

In your world though anyone who doesn't have the union entitlement attitude and disagrees with you must be a failure. I can assure you, that is not the case for me or millions of other private sector producers who foot most of the bill for your demands and lifestyle.

I'm not crying about anything and have never had an urge to go into teaching. I'd rather be part of the solution than part of the problem anyway.

I said above. I have taken care of my own retirement. Mostly by myself. I've never really been inclined to feel entitled to a retirement provided by taxpayers or anyone else but me.

pensions suspended

They better have a back up plan one of these days those teacher's pensions are going to be suspended for a said period of time and possibly revoked. They can say that can't happen, but it can and it will and they can thank the Family and Friends for their financial losses. Then as if goes for those kids, they will need to find alternate educational resources, ie schooling for a good duration of time. Those outlying districts maybe forced to accept those students but after their school day has finished. Again, they can thank the local Family and Friends plan for what will happen when there is a major bust.

Maybe an education should not be a right. Maybe if you have kids you should be solely responsible for educating them. That should solve everything- taxpayers keep all their money and parents/ the public would have nobody to blame but themselves if their kids don't cut the mustard.
