He chased my business out of town. Was only here for 50 years. Going to NH now but didn't want to. I guess Utica has enough business and is doing well. Yeah,Right.

Harry. Welcome to the suburbs!

I am unsure of your business but if it is something I can use I will be sure to stop in. I'm especially cognizant of doing businesses that have left that dump and moved on. I myself moved out of Utica over twenty ago and never looked back. I do all my business in the suburbs and really enjoy it. I have no reason to ever go into the city and avoid it at all costs. Good luck on your new move! I think you will find you did the right thing. New Hartford is business friendly and had been for decades.....Not to mention it just makes sense with all the traffic from consumers they already have. Take care.

It couldnt POSSIBLY have anything to do with the 65% of your taxes that go to pay substandard public service now could it? How deep is your snow out there today?
Maybe they could get some of the pubic servants to get off the internet posting COPAGANDA race hate posts all day anytime anyone criticizes them online hmmmm?

Could it be the whole utica friends and family plan? Like the Williams Bros. pension dynasty as they sell you out and raise your taxes again? Im sorry its so much fun to point out but you people never ever ever learn. Youre destined to fail because they worry about themselves and the superficial. Oh and they cant HANDLE anyone telling them what a joke they are!! See...

Roefaro worse mayor ever wrote:
Everyone at city hall for four years watched Roefaro rob, rape and pillage Utica's finances and feed the UPD&UFD millions of dollars in benny's and not one stopped his ruination of Utica and it's taxpayers. Every rubberstamp council member and Roefaro should be ashamed of theirselves. Taxpayers should feel helpless and hopeless as there is no way out of this financial crisis created by them.
OD and WKTV should interview Roefaro and ask again why the city was allowed to empty every account without sound investments which could have been used to boost revenues rather than kicking the can down the road to pay for public safety for only four years. It would just make us all feel a little better how 20 million dollars just vanishes and nothing to show for it but increased crime and aging DPW equipment and infrastucture.

I simply love seeing bad financial news when it comes to Utica. Because the overpaid public servants will always cry "never enough" while their pensions and bennies go thru the roof. When next year's budget comes out in the spring look for a 15-20% property tax increase. Isn't it great living in Oootica???

Be careful now!! The local cult of public safety will put you on their bad guy list and threaten you with fart and anuz jokes or try to say we are all the same person! Youre not dealing with a lot of brain power in the area there anymore. Usually just beaten down people of "Big man Cop guy with a GED and a bayliner" attitudes. Just the cancer dangling from the bones. And people who obsess over grade school sports like their fat kid is going to the superbowl if they could just hook him up with the right molester coach!

City emties it's accounts and are eyeing yours. Huge tax increases could empty your bank accounts faster than they spent the water board funds.

You better spend all the money you have left next year before the City Hall takes it all. Fee's, water rates, taxes all to skyrocket. Your better off with nothing and let welfare take care of your bills.

They said public safety was 65% of the budget but that was before the Roefaro massive contract padding which adds millions a year for taxpayers. This number for public safety as Palmieri continues the thread must be at least 70%-75% of the budget now especially all the new promotions. Roefaro and Palmieri are like twp peas in a pod when it comes to beefing up public safety. Picente, Roefaro, Palmieri always talk about the bills that need to be paid in government but seem to care less about our budgets and bills which eat up our disposable income which hurts the economy. The casino gets to keep all their money without paying taxes and look how well they are doing, so imagine if taxpayers got to keep their own money how well the area would be doing. Goverment does nothing but waste the money we give them and the more you give them the more they want and nothing to show for it except the families and friends plans for public employees doing quite well. roefaro's contracts for them don't even expire till 2015 as before he quit made sure of that.
