Are you the guy who ran against the judge who lost? Judge is fair and follows the rules. And he's not 100 yet or senile like you have indicated. Get a life, he must have fined you something during your lifelonglife in Utica!!!!
Well smartass, I have known this man for at least 41 years now. He used to be a very nice man. At one time he was a principal for New Hartford Schools ( did not go there) and then he was a young magistrate, he did a pretty good job. NO, I have NEVER appeared in front of him. No, I have never had ANY negative dealings with him. All I said is that he is pretty much ANCIENT, seriously senile, and should step down before he sends himself to jail for ... oops... forgetting who he is!
There comes a time in EVERYONES life that they need to consider retiring. This, IS his time to do so.
And as for me? I have a great, productive and fulfilling life and will retire in 6 years so I can enjoy working my ass off my whole life saving lives. By then, Judge Senile will have long gone and I won't have to worry about being subjected to "senile law".
And to the idiot who made the smart ass comment about ITALIANS making it launch out of proportion... you are seriously IGNORANT. You must be so jealous that you are NOT Italian. We are a great bunch of people ! We know love, good food, great family, and a serious love for our Lord.

No Jack has not been put down. They have a real good attorney from out toward Albany way. I don't think the dog really meant it. He's not a vicious dog. He's old and got startled. This is a very stupid waste of taxpayers dollars. This was his first time. The bite was not bad. But any bite does have to be reported. Today is his court day. I guess from what i hear they are going to have a full court room. What court is it? What judge?

Please explain to me how this situation came to this point. Our dog bit someone in the leg when that person was yanking on the back of our dogs neck. The person had to have two stitches and we has to provide proof of shots. The dog has to be quarantined for 10 days at humane society. End of story. That time dog was tied in my yard. Two years later he got loose and went to a neighbors yard where the neighbor started hitting the dog with a bat to get him out is their yard. The dog turned and knocked him down. He didnt bite. The neighbor called animal control and even though he didnt bite we had to provide proof of shots and he had to be quarantined again. This time we had to go to court. Same judge. He knew about first incident as this neighbor was aware of what happened before. The judge just ordered a fine for us for unleashed dog. My husband chose to have the dog put down because we were afraid if he go loose again and a small child was involved , we wouldn't be able to forgive ourselves. Both times it was because people were bothering the dog. The first time in our own yard while he was tied. I can understand that the second time it was on someone else's property so that was bad. My point is that the judge did not order the dog to be put to sleep.
sound like you are irresponsible idiots that don't deserve to have a dog. Idiots!

If it was a Molosser type dog like a Pit or Rottie - it should've been shot on site and sight.
Jenna, oh stupidazz dumb jenna. I have 2 pits and a mastiff. 3 generations of them. I'm in my late 30s and never have they bit anyone. 1 of mine can be dog aggressive but that's about it. And I as a responsible dog owner keeps her leashed at all times. If my safety was ever in question, my loyal protective dogs would kill for me I'm sure. But they r gentle giants. U need to be educated. U r lucky I don't shoot u for saying that!

Pretty tough to explain to the next victim that "now we'll kill this dog" as the last time it bit someone, the dog was just given a warning. C'mon people, it's a dog...and it injured a human. I have no problem with this...btw, our family owns 3 dogs, they are like family members (sort of)...all have run of the house and yard...i would gladly turn over the dog if it bit anyone.

This totally depends.I've seen situations were kids who are told to leave the dog alone and stay away and then when no one is looking go up and stick there face in the dogs and maybe accidentally pull a ear or pock an eye.

The dog was trying to establish dominance. There is a possibility that that person's leg came into contact with a bitch in heat. BTW, did you and your dog get stuck together?

Who is the judge on handling this fckn nonsense waste [as usual] of NH tax moneys? Does this judge know he and his whole family will probably never ever hear the end of this if he don't figure out some way to stfu and give the owner the old dog back?

Don't you love the stupid kneejerk claims and imagined reason your opinion doesn't count they have to struggle for just to reply?

It seriously never fails with those simple vain people they CAN'T HANDLE people telling them how embarrassing they look with a 700 year old lunatic bigmouth for a judge. That old scag is endemic of all that is wrong with blueblood NH.

What's the story with this Van Douche family too? What do they say about the geriatric lunatic crashing around town making enemies with just about everyone he wafts his bad breath on?

He should watch out, if he were a dog someone would put HIM to sleep for biting people repeatedly and making a general galactic fucking asshole out of himself and his family name.

The judge that ordered Jack to be put down was Van Slyke. Very old man in his 80's or 90's. They appealed it and Judge Michael Dwyer from Oneida County Court now has the case. The dog did nothing wrong. A 7 yr old dog that was supposedly jumped on by that little girl. She hurt him and he responded. This whole case is sad. They should have watched that little girl. It's their fault not the dog. Jack has his own site. It's called HELP SAVE JACK. Check it out! If Jack was a vicious dog he would have done alot more damage. She startled and hurt an old dog. Their life span is only to about 9 yrs old.

I thought the owner was Phil b the reformed crack head that was arrested about 70 times foe shoplifting, let the dog live give Phil in his place vanslyke is old and won't know the difference. Or maybe the judge just remembers Phil from all his court dealings.

Maybe the "judge" has a finer legal mind than yours and won't punish the dog for the owner. Maybe one day a utican loser will be able to debate a subject without some distraction comment. Maybe they'll have real schools up there one decade.

Maybe New Hartford will see what an embarrassment Judge Colostomy Bag is someday?

Maybe New Hartford will one day take down the giant Clint Eastwood picture that Clint himself cringed at when his niece from Saratoga told him about it?

Maybe New Hartford will realize it's a traffic, noise and tax choked joke that never quite lived up to it's billing and certainly never will now?

Maybe New Hartford will one day realize it's not the center of the known universe and do something right under the law instead of twisting the laws to support their sensational combative style?
