Oh, so you live in New Hartford. That explains a lot douche!

Yeah, my starter home is assessed well over $250k. My starter home also has almost 28 acres of land.

You live in one of those cookie cutter developments probably where you can smell the farts of someone in the bathroom next door because you're so close. Enjoy!

<quoted text>Wow, that must be some mansion! There must be houses just like yours all over Beverly Hills and Boca Raton! Maybe for Utica that could be impressive, but what you are describing is typically called a "starter home" most everywhere else. Most everyone I know has spent more on remodeling a kitchen or a bathroom than the 100k you say you bought your entire modular/trailer for. Give me a break!
If you spent that much money "remodeling" a kitchen, you are truly a F ing idiot !

<quoted text>And you must be a modular home salesman! For your information, I am far from fat or balding, and I don't own a velor sweatsuit. Thankfully, I neither live in Utica and/or in a modular home.
You are rude and small minded. I am sorry for you. Why would you be on a modular chat board if you feel this way? You must really have nothing else to do. Sorry for you.

The Bill Lake Home is a modular home, and I consider it to be compareable or even better than a stick built home. Go take a tour of their plant in Sprakers, and then u'll say the same....guaranteed!!
Bill Lake Homes plant is a dump! The office is uninviting, not clean and unprofessional! They take forever to build the home and can't even give you an offline date until the home actually comes off line! Once the home is offline delivery is an issue as well. Their website is a joke and not user friendly at all! Looks like a 3 year old designed it. Quality is just not there in their houses and if you need service done good luck having it taken care of. They are behind the times in many ways. If you are a builder or retail customer I would stay away from this company. There are other modular manufacturers out there that have class, build a great home and offer service on their home if needed.

All I can say is do your homework when considering a modular home. Modulars are cheaper than building or buying if the homes square footage is small and you forgo the garage. But if you're looking for 1700+ square foot modular with a decent garage, building or buying is much cheaper. Modulars at that size are a rip off. And I don't care what anyone say's, those 2 piece Modulars never go together correctly. Just ask someone with some experience.
