Here we go. Mike at least school your people in logic and let's spare the emotion. But, since sissy took a swing and left the door open, it's my turn to give her a dose of reality.
I have kids and do NOT want you or any other person around them. In hindsight, I probably should have homeschooled them given NY's failing education system. My dear friend, anytime you depend on government or social service type agencies to make your life better look out. This is nothing but socialism.
For years people got along fine WITHOUT people like you. I don't care about your units of service or how else you try to measure/justify the numbers to the funding sources. These cases were always here and will be here with or without you.
If my kids get out of control, they will get a beating they won't ever forget. Rest assured, they will never give me a hard time again. I don't need your talk therapy techniques. Kids need parents to be parents and parents should not have to worry about CPS and all the other contribed BS that you all the other useless beauracrats subscribe to. YOU and your co-workers do NOTHING of value for anyone.
Given the opportunity, I'd smack you silly to until you came to your senses.
So get off your high horse and spare me the almighty crap that you keep telling yourself everyday.
Now this person has the correct perspective.Indulge me if you will, when I was a youth I lived in a medium sized town west of here that has since become a cesspool for the worlds waste. In that town at that time I could travel all the way across town, throw a stone and break a window, and the owner would come running out calling me by name, and if I wasn't fast enough would grab me and give me a couple of shots to the head or what ever was available to him.By the time I arrived home he had already called my father who would be waiting for me at the end of our driveway to council me in his own way. Was I scarred for life?Hell no,I gained respect for other peoples property.Did it hurt? Yea it did but it was a lesson learned, and a point well taken, and it caused us to stop and think next time we were bored.Of course time to be bored was non-existent because I then spent the whole summer working for the man with the broken window,so not only did I work off that $4 piece of glass,I got to admire it and keep it clean every day all summer for free. Moral of the story? Windows are expensive, and the fun of breaking them only lasts a minute, while the restitution takes a lifetime.
Nowadays I wish I was a youth. I could go anywhere and do what I damn well pleased, give everyone the finger and maybe even squeeze that old bastards wifes tit just to piss him off more, then just saunter away with my wigger attitude, knowing that none of them can touch me or they will have CPS all over them, same thing at home, can't touch me so you pay for it if you want to,nyaah !!! Oh yea, whatever I break or destroy, the parents have to pay for it,so again I am TEFLON ! And when I've had enough small time excitement its time to get a gun and have some real fun,wow !

As parents we have had all power stripped away and we are left holding the bill with no recourse for such actions on the part of our children.

When I was a kid, I never broke windows because my parents raised me with respect and love. I never got a beating in my life and I grew up just fine did well in school and baseball and wrestling and have a good job and pay lots of taxes and I don't mind it a bit to send a few bucks in the direction of Kids Oneida. Kids Oneida might not take the place of parents but those that work there act as counselors and big brothers and take the kids to gyms, SU basketball games, and also bring them to job sites to earn a few bucks. Kudos to KO; it is called leadership.

Leadership you call it. Obama is calling for people to volunteer in their community to do just that, so why do we have to pay out of our tax dollars large salaries. Do it for the community, do it for free ! But then again maybe you can teach the kids how to get government grants from our tax dollars, how to secure preferential treatment from politicians like mike arcuri for their programs and collect BIG salaries.

Kelly Flaherty
Robert M. Palmieri
Gail Rice
Dr. Kishor Sangani

I'd like to see the stats on Insight house. What's their success rate. These people show up on every board and you can bet that some of their family members hold good paying positions in the organizations. Kinda like the cowboy governor from Illinois whose wife got paid 100,000 a year as fund raiser for a non profit..

Why does this county and country have so many programs that the taxpayers have to pay? I have an idea--when I grew up my parents took care of me!!!!! Let's round up all these parents and show them the way to work, be responsible and their kids should be first. What a concept, instead of free programs teaching them nothing.

Come on Puffy....you should know better. Kids don't need parents when you have the almighty savior KO there to further diminishing their importance. Heck, pretty soon, you're going to be required to turn your kids directly over to KO and you'll just make a check payable to them every month. Better yet, they'll just take it out of your pay in addition to your taxes. This iswhat workin' for the man is all about and it's gonna get a whole lot worse.

Required?? You people are as uneducated as they get. I'm sure you're one of those parents. Useless!

The main issue is, if more people took as much pride at being parents as they do posting b-sh-t on this website we wouldn't need KO. But we do you mindless a--es.

Posting bullshit? Well, if it's bullshit as you say, just leave it alone. Why would you respond to it if it's bullshit? Me thinks it's not BS, Me thinks the emperor really has no clothes and you're trying to make everyone believe he does.

You're right. They like writing grants for their own jobs, it's a gaff and it's nonsense. Isn't that what school counselors are for and if the kids have that many problems, they don't belong in the school they belong in an institution. What are we paying school counselors for?

Schools are considering getting rid of counselors. Do you really think a school counselor has the time or resources to help a kid who has been sexually abused by both parents? You need a reality check azzhole and FYI institutions are overloaded. What's your answer to the after care once they come out of an institution? Allow them to sexually abuse your kid? You along with the other negative posters are extremely ignorant to the issues that this county and many others face due to neglect, physical, mental and sexual abuse. Wake up.

Let's not forget that Nicky Laino and several others on this board are probably inter-related to Congressman Arcuri in some way shape or form. Chances are they've been living off your hard earned tax dollars and abusing the system one way or another. Connect the dots and you'll see whose reaping the rewards while the rest of us struggle and eat dirt.

They all forget who controls the money. I can't wait to slash their funding by more than half!

As of today Kids Oneida is officially back on the radar screen. Copied from Justice Denied 13501 Blog:

2/26/09
HEY, BIG SPENDER....WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING TO GO UNCONTESTED IN 2010?

The Utica OD featured an article on Arcuri as a frontline member of the Democratic Congressional Committee who is helping to raise funding for Arcuri's next Congressional bid in 2010, but how presumptuous of him to believe that he will run uncontested under the Democratic party line.

Arcuri is an "at risk" Congressman who barely won re-election with the closest race in the Nation, against a virtual unknown as a contender, Richard Hanna. So how much money are they really going to try to generate knowing that the slim margin poses a great threat in the 24th?

His picture appears on their website asking for contributions, but that alone will not carry him if he continues to throw federal monies toward friends and family members under the guise of growth and prosperity for his constituents.

His contractual agreements with the State of New York, that he failed to disclose and all the other corrupt acts of self-enrichment has hurt him immensely and Justice Denied will continue to unveil the truth of his motives and actions, which I believe, played a vital role in diminishing his credibility causing a loss of support in the last election.

Just as Arcuri has taken on the daunting task of securing his seat early on in this game, we too have taken some steps toward bringing an end to his reign of self-enrichment.

Today's article in the OD which highlights federal funding to projects in our community definitely raises some eyebrows and are potential threats for him in retaining his seat as Congressman, but you see, he is so arrogant and blatant, that he truly believes in his warped sense of self entitlement that he deserves to dole out the treasures at his discretion without being questioned by his constituency.

Kids Oneida, Edge and the outrageous amount of federal funding to replace traffic signals is just an example of how he fails to recognize where money should be spent that is most effective in bringing about growth to our area.

He is and always has been a stamp for the Democratic party. He lacks vision, independence and most of all common sense.

Just keep playing the rubber stamp game, Congressman.....the ink on your Congressional paycheck will eventually run out.........hopefully, before you get to spend all that infrastructure money and get your piece of the action.

KO sucks, plain and simple. Funneling $$$$$$ into their pockets at an alarming rate. Results you ask? Here is the deal,if your kid doesn't respond to the namby pamby crap they preach, your kid and his/her issues are removed from KO's role so as not to tarnish its sparkling record. Yea thats fair to the kid and helpful to the community. My only surprise is that KO isn't based in "Wonderful Rome".

If you start to look into all the supposed non profits in the area you will notice a pattern of the same people on all the boards. The Executive Directors of these non profits are getting paids hundreds of thousands a dollars per year. On the MV EDGE website they note that the average household income for this area is around $40,000 yet look what these people on these non profit agencies are making.

The supposed Chief Executive Officer's compensation, including benefits, in 2007 reporting on their 990 form was over $100,000. The comptroller's (two for partial years) copensation was listed at over $80,000 in 2007.
That is over $180,000 was paid to board members, not staff but board members. This for a non profit. I'll bet that if you do a back groud check of these people you would come up with political connections somewhere. Anyone out there want to make 80,000 to 100,000 per year for a supposed 35 hours per week. How much help are kids getting from over paying executives?
