I used Felice moving out of Rome NY . They moved my belongings into storage unit and then to my new home in may. They were wonderful! They were careful with valuables and more than accomodating. Worth every penny. I used Low Cost movers in past it was a disaster! They were suppose to show ip at 1pm didnt show until evening and couldnt finish because it was so late and i had to meet them at 5am next day to finish!! Many broken items

Great post! I've been looking for some info on finding a quality moving company in Ottawa, but don't really know where to start. After seeing this and http://www.moving.ca/ottawa.htm , I have a much better idea for what I'm looking for. Thanks for sharing!

Great post! I've been looking for a company that can do quality corporate relocation in Dover NJ, and this gave me some great insight of what to look for when I choose one. So far this and http://fastmovingcompany.com/services/busines... have been the most helpful. Thanks for sharing!

You get what you pay for.

I was a mover as a young man. I offer the following advice to anyone moving.
1. get a written estimate insisting on a walk-through by the owner or representative.

2. pack your own stuff. ask the movers if you can borrow used cartons they collect save newspapers for packing dishes, glassware. after you unpack. use small boxes for books or other heavy stuff (movers will appreciate it)

3. move all the fragile stuff you can move on your own -- lamps, mirrors

4. if it's a trustworthy company, you don't need to ask for an inventory list, just be there to observe the truck loading. during unloading, assign someone to stand near the truck to direct the movers what goes in which room.

Good luck.

My sister and I moved over 200 miles and though about hiring movers to help. We ended up getting help from friends and are so grateful for it. They did a really good job and were careful with our stuff.

We're getting ready to help my younger brother move into his new apartment. We've been packing, sorting, and cleaning for about three days. We just found out he hasn't contacted any movers, and we're supposed to move him in three days. Maybe we'll try http://www.economymoversri.net/Office-Movers-...

My wife and I are moving to London in a few months for my job. We've packed everything up, but aren't sure how to get it to our new house without damaging any of it. I looked into a few different moving companies, but I still want to research a few more to sure we are getting the right one. http://www.mdyerandsons.com/moving-to-hawaii/...

My brother is looking for commercial movers in the Colorado Springs area to help him move his business. He needs a company that is well organized, professional, and that works at a great pace. Any tips or advice on whose the best would be highly appreciated. http://www.arrowmoving.net/areas-served/color...

You never realize how much stuff you have until you actually have to move! I wish I went to the gym and had some useful muscles. We have been thinking that we need to get local moving help.
