Anyone in a Home Health Network?

Want to hear if anyone else has had any experience with the Health Home Network. The State wrote to me about signing up for the Health Home Network, and said it was voluntary. Had to sign a consent form, but was uncertain about it because they want to appoint a care manager for me. I didn't sign, but now they tell me they have assigned me a care manager without my consent. I think all this happened because I was having some problems coping with life as a side effect of medication, and made the mistake of telling my doctor. He wanted to put me under observation, but I refused. Adjusted my prescriptions, and I seem to be able to cope. I don't want to have someone else making decisions for me, but they seem bent on doing it. Tell me what experience you have had with Home Health Networks.

Google it and you will get a full explanation. It's called,"NYS Health Homes," It is to make sure that Medicaid money spent on Healthcare is done so in a coordinated way. You probably have two or three different health related problems. They want to make sure your care is coordinated in the least costly manner for Medicaid. It is a cost containment program, and part of the Affordable Care act
