Woodland is trying to garner votes by promising to bring back the Town wide trash pickup! Really Rich... Is that all you got?
Tyksinski is a shoe in running against these knuckleheads!
If that is best you can do to convince anyone to vote for Tyksinski I think you are in for a big surprise. Every year our houses flood because of Tyksinski's mismanagement of the storm water funds. We have had enough. Time to give Don Backman a shot.

Tyksinski has to do. The storm water funds is #1. Library is #2. If Backman falls on his face, he's going to be an improvement over Pat. Seriously.

And no matter who wins, Romano has go be stopped... along with the water. Two major NH priorities.

None of it really matters. The fate of the area is sealed. Higher taxes. More immigrants. Fewer jobs... Should we go on? Backman, Tyk, whoever? Does any of it matter anymore??? Another 5 years and I'm gone!

This vote does matter. pat has had his chance to fix the towns flooding and the library mess. He has not neither. Time to give Don a try.

If you go back to the original topic and Post the question was asked: "Has Linda Romano done one concreate, demonstratable positive thing for the Library as president. Three days and almost 50 posts later not one person has come forward to speak on her behalf. Its like Romano has no supporters at all. Very sad and another reason why she needs to resign immediately.

I venture to guess that if you look at many of those in the friends at family club, you will see that the rest of New Hartford is subsidizing their property tax assessment rates.

I was thinking the same thing. Not one person has provided a reason why they think 50+ posts are wrong. Unfortunately, for Linda, the posts are dead on. She has trashed the library through deception and deviousness, and should resign. Someone asked "How do you screw up a library?" I don't the answer, but she figured out how to screw it up. It may take down a politician?

Romano does a great job. No one is posting such stuff cause we all got our lives to carry on with unlike you few concerned cultists.

Dam. Get a life already. Its a library not the Smithsonian. The only reason your pushing Backman is because pat won't be a puppet for your outrageous demands all the time. Backman ain't no walk in the park either. But you'd all rather take a shot at someone you think you can control. Thats all that matters. Your agenda. Period. Fashioning our town in Some warped vision only you could love. So good luck. You reap what you sow.

So after 50 pages of factual, substantial reasons on why Romano is failing as library president and you finally come back with an irrefutable reason why she should stay. Wait for it... "She is doing a good job".

Wow convinced me. You forgot one more: protecting this woman's gigantic ego. Do all of New Hartford a favor and tell her run is done. Since Pat Tyksinski won't tell her to resign we will give Don Backman a chance to set things right. Romano is public official in a position of trust to the people of New Hartford. She MUST account for her job performance directly to the people. She MUST resign now. Our library has become a joke under her so called leadership

Interesting. Can't comment cause we have lives. What an raving idiot. Thanks for explaining your shallow opinion.

Linda has three goals in life: me, me and me. She cares about nothing else. What's in it for Linda? She's not even sneaky about it. She is not the right person to guide the library.

I think she has a fine ass and is pretty hot ! I'd love to get her alone in the Periodical room. We could make some serious sparks . Maybe even a little rub-a-dub dub!

So after 5 days and 55 posts. No one still has posted any substantial contributions Linda Romano has made to the New Hartford Library?

I think we residents of New Hartford have reached a consensus. Linda Romano MUST resign or be forced out for the good of our library and for the good of our town. Pat Tyksinski knows this should happen and if he doesn't have the courage to do the right thing then its time to put Don Backman in to set things right.

It is remarkable that no one has supported her. This alone should send a message, loud and clear, to our politicians that many people are disappointed by Linda's lack of library leadership, and know it is time to install someone new in the position.

Enjoy your take on the situation, and would personally support a no confidence vote. I also know of many others that share this opinion. I believe a significant majority of NH residents want here removed.

What Im taking from this is that 99% of Topix regulars are supporting Backman over Tyksinski. That is an overwhelming endorsement of which I am sure Mr Tyksinski will be very comfortable:)
This same post is getting old. But nice try. If Tyksinski is comfortable, he is nuts. Goodbye, Pat. BTW, Topix users do vote, don't lose sight of that.

Linda will self-destruct on her own. She needs no help nor are the politically connected aligned with her to the degree you assume. The general consensus is that her usefulness can be realized based upon her efforts to keep Ed and Kathy chasing the latest conspiracy theory. Most of the time they're correct, but watching them in action is like watching a hamster on a tread wheel. They just don't get it. The corruption is only going to continue and they will be continuously discredited for their efforts and labeled town trouble makers. It's too bad, since they are great watch dogs. But the Linda, Ed and Kathy Three's Company show is getting old.

I must've dreamed a thousand dreams
Been haunted by a million screams
But I can hear the marching feet
They're moving into the street.

Now did you read the news today
They say the danger's gone away
But I can see the fire's still alight
There burning into the night.

There's too many men
Too many people
Making too many problems
And not much love to go round
Can't you see
This is a land of confusion.

This is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and let's start trying
To make it a place worth living in.

Ooh Superman where are you now
When everything's gone wrong somehow
The men of steel, the men of power
Are losing control by the hour.

This is the time
This is the place
So we look for the future
But there's not much love to go round
Tell me why, this is a land of confusion.

This is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and let's start trying
To make it a place worth living in.

I remember long ago -
Ooh when the sun was shining
Yes and the stars were bright
All through the night
And the sound of your laughter
As I held you tight
So long ago -

I won't be coming home tonight
My generation will put it right
We're not just making promises
That we know, we'll never keep.

Too many men
There's too many people
Making too many problems
And not much love to go round
Can't you see
This is a land of confusion.

Now this is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and let's start trying
To make it a place worth fighting for.

This is the world we live in
And these are the names we're given
Stand up and let's start showing
Just where our lives are going to.
