I remember Cannonball cinema and the Paris Cinema!!! I loved those theatres, the movies were $1.00 if I remember right, and I seen "tootsie" at the cannonball with my mom, she loved that movie! I also seen coming of age movies like "gorp" and "Porky's" at the cannonball with my brother and his friends. I remember seeing "full metal Jacket" and the 3 Amigos at the Paris cinema! Sadly, when I cam back for my 20th New Hartford High reunion 5 years ago, the Paris was all boarded up- has anyone opened it back up?? Gosh, the memories, that was a nice place to grow up:)

There was NEVER a Chuck E Cheese at Riverside. I'll put $1,000 on it.
I was there too. You're either too young or too Bronx.

Coppefields's was the nicest one of the many that occupied the big space between Howlands and Wards..that was there in 1978, then a short stint of Cattlemens Club, then Ground Round...in the back by the theaters was Friars Inn...at the time, Copperfields became the busiest restaurant in the area. I had a couple friends that worked there, unfortunately, the Binghamton based chain made the decision to expand in bigger areas. I remember Art and Nancy Philips were the managers of Riverside. Mall at the time.

Friars Specialty was "beef on a wick" a great roast beef sandwich.

Copperfield's had a great bar business too.
