I just can't believe some of those salaries....and the people who take care of those unable to take care of themselves make....8-11.00 an hour. Yea, yea, yea they have no education to back up making more, right?

There's quite a bit of educated folks working to make ends meet. They're the ones that contribute to the seemingly endless telethons that these fat heads target.Don't fall for them.

I read the article and I wasn't convinced. It paints a broad definition of nonprofits. According to the article, Hamilton College and the local major hospitals are all considered not for profits. Excuse me, but how is Hamilton College a nonprofit? It is one of the nation's top highly competitive small liberal arts colleges that admits mostly rich kids. Plus they have an endowment of half a billion dollars. How is this a nonprofit? Also, how are the local hospitals considered not for profits - denying treatment to the people who can't pay while offering red carpet treatment to people who can pay. Sounds like there for profit hospitals to me. Also, the article says Cuomo wants to cap nonprofit CEO pay at 199,000 dollars. This will only drive top talent out of the state and hurt the economy. Also, who is the state going to tax if they drive off all the rich people?
you raise an excellent point. If you want qualified individuals appropriately using state and/or federal dollars you must have a qualified educated individual monitoring these large budgets! Many of these individuals have devoted their lives to these positions - their days often do not end at 5:00 these are often high demanding stressful positions that deserve adequate salaries

Some are, some aren't. Some dont work past four. Devotion? Hardly. Self-serving? Definetly. Stressful? Again, some are, some aren't. Adequate salaries? Analyze them all and pick out the inadequacies.......they're obvious.
