Last weeks Utica City Common Council meeting followed the pre-conference agenda of approving sale of city property and transfer of funds until Frank Vescera asked for closure on a residency issue in the Community Development Block Grant Recommendation Board. The board has threatened to resign en mass unless a decision has been made. According to At-Large Councilman Ed Buccierro, a decision has been made regarding residency, one member has resigned and one should resign in accordance with the councils wishes that members reside in the city. The next CDBG meeting should be held without them as board members. They should be welcome to attend. If they do they will show how committed they are to Utica. If they do not, then it was the right decision to be replaced with someone in Utica.
