Listen the cops in the past didn't take a raise many a year and in return got things like show up pay or other little health benifits that were very cheap to the city in those days.The greedy doctors and hospitals and health care companies started to charge the cities more and there you have the problem.The source of the problem is that when have you ever ever seen a doctor take a cut from what he has been charging. Never because he has to maintain his three cars two boats two houses and his flush wife jewelry and winding and dining bragging rights.

Yet many doctors have treated patients pro bono to make sure their health care needs were addressed.

Cops went without raises? Are you even serious? They have seen retroactive pay raises for the years they foregone raises when contracts were being negotiated. They have NEVER gone without a raise. They still got their raises, delayed, but still got them.
