Very wise!

A 1956 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball with the key signatures: Stengel, Rizzuto, Berra, Slaughter, Mantle, Ford, Howard, Martin, Bauer, Larsen is worth about $2,500-$3,100.

There's your solution!

$200 is a very small number. We work with much larger numbers. If in fact you truly had this prized baseball, you would be pretty foolish to allow someone you don't know to hold onto it. I would suggest that you approach a friend, family or someone you know and trust to loan you $200. If they wish to hold the ball as collateral then you can be sure you'll get it back, especially in light of the fact that it was your grandfathers. I'm sure he would be very upset if he knew that you were offering a complete stranger to hold his prized baseball.

do not and i repeat do not give this wannabe gangster that shirt to hold on to, you will never see it or him again. he would love that, he will turn around and sell it for 2500-3100 and keep the cash. im sure you can figure out another way.
