I was gambling with father lafache last night, he said he will resolve the 270,000 loss at st anthonys if he wins big multiple times on the tables. He said that the casino is the devil and had taken all of his very loyal parishioners $ and that he wants to do whats right by winning that $ back.
FACT is...YOUUUUUUUU are the DEVIL..YOU have NO life but to ridicule and trash people on this site...Truth of the matter is when people throw dirt at other people it satisfies their ego and makes them feel better about themselves...Is this YOU?? YUP, I KNOW so!

The only one to blame for this is the Bishop. Maybe someone should check him out.

All of you that are speaking of a man that has devoted his life to God in such a vulgar horrible way will have it come back to you! FL is an awesome loving priest and I hope for the very best for him and his remaining family. I love him and his family and consider them my second family! He is a wonderful man and has helped me so much to cherish my Christianity. I have always loved his homilys as he relates to people of all ages and has adapted to relate to the world today. I'm sure none of you that have degraded him in such awful ways have never had a drink or played a casino game. Both things by the way if done in moderation are not a sin. It's too bad there are such ignorant horrible people in this world. Father has always taught against this disgusting hatred in his teachings as a devout priest. Love you always Father LaFache and your family!

And BTW if he's so horrible, then why are just about every one of his masses standing room only for years and years at St Anthony's. You have to go 45 min before mass to get any seat and then I always end up giving up my seat to an elderly person so they can be comfortable at mass. Love you FL!

From John Paul II's "Catechism of the Catholic Church": "Games of chance (card games etc) or wagers are not in themselves contrary to justice. They become morally unacceptable when they deprive someone of what is necessary to provide for his needs and those of others. The passion for gambling risks becoming an enslavement." This is under Article 7, concerning the 7th Commandment (Thou shalt not steal) which also reads "The seventh commandment forbids unjustly taking or keeping the goods of one's neighbor or wronging him in any way with respect to his goods. It commands justice and charity in the care of earthly goods and the fruits of men's labor." So if he used the parish's money, which seems likely, or even if it got to the point where he was using too much of his own money, there's a problem.

He also said he wanted one flock and one shepherd, so anyone who breaks away & founds a different denomination is going against Jesus himself.
