Cut back on the rides.$5/per ride! How many could afford to put their kids on many? Sandwiches went waaay up.....hot sausage w/pepper $4.25, mixed peppers:$5! Burgers:$3.25. Fried dough:$1.....the size of a donut!, all Italian pastries:$2.25. Getting worse every year. No flea market this yr. New picnic tables, tho!

The holy name society that runs the feast is a joke. They have a bunch of old st Agnes jokes that run it now..awful..they pushed out the original st. Anthony people and took it over. I'll go to the real Italian feast mount Carmel in July.

ST. ANTHONY/ST. AGNES was GREAT. Fine food, great band "ALIBI" on Friday nite. Of course Labanda Rose is always great. Lots of space this year, and nicer set up for rides. We always enjoy this feast. Thanks to Deacon Bill and our new priest, Fr. Mark for a wonder ful time, also all the volunteer workers and everyone who has a hand in making this such a success. We can't wait for St. Cosmo and Damian!!!!!!!!!!

St. Agnes jokes????? And you go to church???? What kind of person are you really to make a comment like that! And hate to break it to you but aftera while all the "old" "original" St. Anthony people need to moveon and thankfully "anyone" no matter what church they are from are willing to help. You must be one of the "original" St.Anthony hypocrits that were upset that St. Agnes people had to join that church. That's exactly why I will never attend that church or go to their feast either. Real nice statement.

Unfortunately anything that has to do with St. Anthony's has always been very cliquey.

Hmm your a joke. St Anthony is my church I was baptized there, had my communion there, confirmed there and married there, and go to church every Saturday @ 4. So don't give me that crap. We welcomed people from st Agnes with open arms it the few that ruin it. Not all.

Stopped going after the LaFache debacle and pray at home now. I miss seeing some of the regulars but save a bunch of money.

I must say $5 a ride. That really is over the top. I didn't know that but poor parents with children. Come on at least let http be a bit more affordable.

Lol. I'll give you some crap:

I was there at Christmas Mass when the gambling, degenerate, drunkard priest was too drunk to lead the service.

I was married there, and the priest showed up 20 minutes late and mispronounced my very common name, even after I quietly corrected him.

If you're using personal experience to defend your church, then my personal experiences trump yours...

What actual hard evidence might you provide to the positive changes of the church?

Well Poster named John's Tune your not a very religious person even though you list all that affiliation with St. Anthony's Church! Your first post was uncalled for. To even call anybody "jokes" and especially those from another parish doesn't sound too promising. Oh and by the way, your not the only one who has been baptized, received communion, and confirmation and married at your home parish. I have as well but not at St. Anthony's! And I totally agree with the above poster. You can defend your church all you want but there are alot of things that aren't so to speak very "nice" that have been known to have occurred at that church. You are very wrong in your statements about St. Agnes parishioners and if you want to play that game, I know for a fact that there are alot of parishioners at St. Anthony's are "take over types" and definitely NOT welcoming to other people of other parishes. Only when they show up at their big feast and spend their money, then they have no problem with them.

FYI, I was there to tend to Fr. Lafache immediately after he fell...NOT drunk..He became disoriented due to carotid artery blockages, so get the true story before making judgments. P.S. I DID NOT know Fr. Lafache before that night.
