I would go with big apple. Very good. Fast reliable and the solder all the connections unlike the competition. Stay away from best buy and the other place down on blvd.

Do not go to Big Apple!!!! They quote you one price and by the time their done with it the price has more than doubled and the time estimate of it being done also doubled!!! Their service is half A$$. The sales people are rude, obnoxious arrogant A$$holes!! They jacked up my keyless entry and the dashboard is not the same!!! Completely dissatisfied!!!

Do not use big apple. They do not solder the connection, they tap into wires that they are not supposed too, your starter will break before the winters over. Very poor install, always has been. Stay away!!

I have had 4 starters installed at big apple. No problems. I had installed at custom sound years ago because te dealer through it in and they used them. Had to get it reprogrammed 4 times. Finally I had it removed.

I would go to big apple. Do NOT go to the auto specialists up on rt 5!! And the reason they quote you one thing and charge another is because the quote is the basic price. They charge you for bypassing the security system and if you want everything on one remote. Such as the locks an everything.

I just heard Mario from custom opened up his own place. He was always very good at installing. After he got out of there i wouldnt go back there because he was the only one there that knew what to do. I agree do not go to auto specialist he is the same person that used to run team car accessories.

Big apple installed a starter for me five years ago and still works great, auto specialists installed a starter in my truck last year and was very happy, haven't had a problem with either starters from two differant places. my brother had starter installed at CS in hyundai starter always worked only issue he had was he dropped the remote and it broke had to buy a new case. I would have to give all three places a thumbs up.everytime i was there they were all proffesional and curtious.

See all the deals in the paper for starts, 99 or free keyless? If ur getting just start the. 99 specials the way to go. But if ur getting keyless the free keyless special is by far better. Gonna call auto specialists and Cny starts then decider which one I wanna go with

The thing im wondering is how can you sell a remote for 99$ and supposable have 3000 ft of range, should understand that a remote that has 3000 ft of range would have a cost of alot more than $99 . False advertising.

they get away with advertising it. by saying UP TO 3000ft. so any where from 1 inch to 3000feet. qualifies. even though you'll never see it reach 3000 ft.

Go on WKTV they are giving them away. And nobody is watching them, great chance of winning.

You are taking your chances with those $99 installs. Any shop charging such low prices IS NOT doing a quality install. Guarantee no hood safety, no horn output, no dome supervision, no anti grind, and probably T-Tap everything and leave a mess of wires to boot. Half the features of the starter are disabled!

Usually, the $99 special is to get you in the place. Once they tack on the bypass module (generally a chinsy $20 one that requires you to give up a key) and the other "add ons" you are closer to $200+

I charge a premium when I install and only take limited appointments. However, all my connections are soldered and all safety stops are in place. The big shops only car about pushing as many cars as possible out the door. They are likely paying some kid squat to bang out an install in 2-3 hours when a quality full featured one takes twice that.

Now, having had starters installed in the past by Big Apple and Custom Sound I would say anyone will get a decent no frills install from Big Apple. I HIGHLY ADVISE STAYING AWAY FROM CUSTOM SOUND! They did a crap T-Tapped job and could hook up features they should have been able to. The car had to go back because they installed the bypass module wrong. STAY AWAY! I can't personally vouch for Auto Specialist, but people I know who have had them done were happy. That said, I've never inspected one for verification as I have Big Apple and Custom Sound.
Who Else
